Good place to stay in Ha Giang, a bit outside the main part of town which was both good and bad: good in that it was quieter, and less likely to be a roudy, party-like atmosphere, but this also means that you have to walk a bit to reach restaurants if you want (the hotel does have a restaurant on site, so that helps). A couple of things brought this down to a four-star review:
1) We were woken up by roosters very early in the morning. While this is likely out of the hotel's control, it's something to be aware of.
2) The room was cold, and while a space heater was provided it didn't work with the outlets provided in the room. This might have been due to the somewhat unseasonable cold weather that northern Vietnam was having when we visited, so if it was warmer outside this probably wouldn't be an issue.
