Great location out of Hamburg but close enough
Great location next to river with ferry stop to Hamburg right outside. Nice breakfast and a couple of small restaurants nearby / across river. Staff are excellent and room was clean and comfortable.

It is right on the Elbe River with easy cheap service to the Hamburg harbor and downtown area. The cruise and container ships pass your window and if you like to stay in your room you have a beautiful view of their comings and goings. The Rilano Hotel is my favorite of all Hamburg Hotels. The breakfast is sumptuous and the staff very friendly. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Terrible choice overall
Avoid this hotel if possible. Service is terrible, rooms are noisey with poor sound insulation between rooms. Cigarette smoke infiltrates non-smoking rooms. Breakfast is over-priced and unappetizing. It's hard to get to, out of the way and has almost no shops of other places near to purchase basics. During the Covid crisis - everything (spa, bike rental, outside bar, room service) was unavailable "due to Corona". Only plus - it's near to te Airbus factory. But not near to the spotting mound unless you have a car.

Plenty of empty rooms but want to charge extra 30 Euros for riverside room. In the middle of nowhere and hard to get to. Free Shuttle service at meaningless hours from 9pm to 11 pm Fri and Sat. So stingy and only allow one internet device at a time so I had to switch between phone and laptop. Expensive and subpar restaurant. Walking distance to nothing and no other decent restaurants around. 20 Euros for a Holiday Inn style breakfast buffet. Small and dusty rooms. Gym with no equipment. A few friendly staffs. One Euro in room drinks and beer. Free beer for passing up room cleaning but only one voucher per stay. Really? Then I just passed up one of my 2 days. Sorry I am no Greta Thunberg.

There are no places to eat or drink other than the hotel. You need to plan your trips into Hamburg accordingly so you don't miss the last ferry to the hotel. Otherwise it's an expensive cab ride. Good breakfast with lots of variety of things to eat. Good bar, but service was slow due to lack of staff.

really fun location
This was a family stay in a corner suite and everyone had a blast. Two bathrooms was convenient, the hotel is in great condition, friendly staff, good food. The ferry stops right outside and takes you to downtown Hamburg, super fun and convenient way to travel. We would definitely stay again, either for a family trip or a solo business trip.

I always try to stay there as I enjoy the tranquility of being by the river. Good food in the bar area and restaurant, both of which overlook the river, after a busy day. Despite the distance into the centre of Hamburg, the various transport options are good and so is the availability of taxis. Reasonably priced weekend breaks are also on offer.

Handy to the ferrys, a great bar, no shops nearby
As this is an industrial area, there are no shops nearby, which was a small nuisance. there are great parklands and trails that I made use of for my morning run. the Ferry is extremely efficient, as is the bus service. A great bakery was found just a short walk away.

Great location for visiting Airbus
Great place if you want to be near Airbus and if you want a great view of the river. Not great location if you are here to see the visit the city, it is pretty far from the city center.
