Beautiful rustic yet modern cabin with loads of amenities! This property is situated just minutes from town, with ample outdoor recreation on its 58 private acres. This home will give its guest a one of a kind getaway expericnce, with hiking trails, game trails, swimming pond and sandy beach, this property has everything to keep you and your family entertained during your stay! There is abundant wildflowers and wildlife including deer, elk, moose, bears, eagles and wild turkeys.

Minutes from town, this property is on 58 acres of wooded land, with beautiful meadows, tranquil cedar groves and fresh running streams through out. It has a shared swimming pond (shared with Host) otherwise the property is complelety private and off limits to public use.

Our family staycation
Lisel’s home was absolutely amazing! Everything about it exceeded our expectations. The beautiful log home, the big, picturesque windows, the toasty fire and all of the lush plants are a few of the highlights. It was so relaxing to be able to just walk out the door and go for a short hike with the dogs and follow that up with a soak in the hot tub under the stars. So many cozy spots to read and rest. It snowed while we were there and Lisel had us plowed out in no time! Communication was excellent and we had more than everything we needed for a memorable family staycation. Thank you Lisel and your sweet pups! We hope to be back again someday!

Cabin paradise
Every year I stay in a cabin somewhere in Montana, and this was far and away the best! Luxurious amenities surrounded by so much open space, this was exactly what I was looking for in a winter trip. The hiking led us to some stunning views. Be sure to try the steam shower; I didn’t even know that was a thing but it’s an experience!

My wife and I and our doggy came to visit her brother and had stayed at a hotel in town on previous visits. This time we decided to see what is available on Vrbo and this amazing property was available. We couldn’t have had a better stay! The property is just 6 minutes from town yet is very private and secluded, an absolute gem. The whole property is wild and lovely, the cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. Our host was very accommodating and attentive and took great care of us, she provided every amenity and pointed us at our first wild moose sighting. Everything was perfect, we and our doggy are sad to leave! 🙂

3 Day Family Meet & Greet with Wedding and Cleanup :)
The Mountain Getaway is above and beyond one of the best VRBO finds! We hosted friends and family (about 90 of us) from all over the country in Hamilton MT, a few stayed with us at the Mountain Getaway, while most had their own places and joined us during the day. Everyone loved the venue and the host! Lisel actually had several people stop and hang out with her on their way up to the festivities! She was amazing with information and ease of check in and check out. She has it stocked with so many things you don't think about needing away from home! We realized we needed extension cords and before I knew it she was delivering them! We cannot say enough about how beautiful and serene this place is! Such a stunning example of the splendor and grandeur that is Southwest Montana! Thank you for making our family get together and wedding above and beyond special and the perfect showcase to all the people who were in Montana for their first time! So many people have plans to rent the Mountain Getaway again and we for sure will be!!! LIsel you are amazing and you will be seeing us again!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! Lizel was amazing at answering all my questions. The night before we arrived there was a terrible storm that knocked out the power she messaged me and kept is updated. She even had it set up with a generator in case power didn't come back on. Perfect location for a visit to the Bitterroot Valley
Our family stayed at this property for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year holidays. We were hoping to "get away from it all" for a relaxing holiday, and the location of this house did not disappoint (a bonus was getting to see all of the wildlife in the surrounding areas!). The house's location is private, with beautiful views, but still allows for quick trips into Hamilton and surrounding areas for shopping or meals. We found the house to have all the necessities needed to be comfortable during our stay. The communication and attentiveness of the host were excellent. We highly recommend this property and look forward to staying again during a future visit to the Bitterroot Valley!

Peaceful retreat
What a treasure this place is! Fairly close to town, yet secluded and quiet. The house was very clean, beds comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Lisel was very responsive and helpful. There are lots of special surprises- lovely cedar grove a short hike away, unique art, statues and carvings throughout the property. We loved it!

Amazing property! Magical experience for our entire party!
We can’t say enough about this property. Lisel thought of everything to make our stay just perfect. She even delivered a frisbee to the boys on our first night. It was perfectly laid out to have a lovely outdoor bbq and fire pit to roast marshmallows late at night. I love the special touches such as an aromatherapy diffuser with essential oils for the library, cupboards full of spices to cook with, full fridge (thanks for the Modela’s and water), and so much more. We can’t wait to book again.

Peaceful Beautiful Property
We loved staying here. The property is beautiful and want to come back to explore some of the trails. The home had everything we needed. Dogs came to visit and play fetch which was a bonus for us. Hamilton is quaint and had fun exploring all the shops and art galleries.
