This was the second time I stayed with Hotel Halifax and this time was with my Westie Arthur. It was a fabulous stay! Everyone was friendly, welcoming & helpful. There is a bit of construction/ renovations but that didn’t impede any of our adventures. There was one elevator working but it was kinda neat because everyone chatted & we were allowed to use the service elevator. In true Maritime fashion we adapted and overcame! There will be a little more of a grass area for the pups once they finish the reconstruction in the front. The food & service was great in the hotels Harbour City Bar & Grill. The Hotel was nicely decorated for the Christmas season. There is access to the Scotia Square commercial area & you have access to the food court without having to go outside, as well as a pedway to venture to the Casino if you’re heading in that direction. It took Arthur and I maybe 10 mins to walk to the waterfront & we immensely enjoyed the boardwalk & accessibility. I am looking forward to staying again with Hotel Halifax & Arthur is too! It made for a great trip away & if you’ve ever been or lived in Halifax before it made me miss it & appreciate the hospitality & connection us maritimers hold on to near & dear to our hearts. And walking to the Lighthouse Arts Centre to see Adam Baldwin & his band was most definitely the icing on the cake!! 🎶 🥰✌️🐾

This was a lovely hotel with lovely staff, I really enjoyed my stay! The only thing I would mention is if you don't like construction there is a lot of construction going on around the building, we couldn't hear it from our room, but it was at times difficult to navigate it when trying to leave the hotel. The construction isn't the fault of the hotel by any means, but it is just something to note. There was also at times swimming lessons going on in the hotel pool, there wasn't anything saying we couldn't go in while it was happening, but you felt like you shouldn't interrupt so we ending up leaving and coming back when the lessons were over. Overall it was a lovely hotel, and we had a very enjoyable stay!

There was construction around the property which made it VERY difficult to navigate to the enterence and parking. We also had to pay for $26 per day for parking, which was NOT disclosed at the time of booking.
