The owner is very hands on and friendly. Very welcoming and accommodating. Definitely a must stay for couples looking to get away for night or family looking for a welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely and cosy spot in an Ontario town with much history and many recreational activities in any season.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, clean cottage! Everything was perfectly prepared for our arrival, and the communication with the host was seamless and very accommodating. The location is unbeatable, situated directly on the lake, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The cottage is also well-equipped with entertainment options for kids, both indoors and outdoors, which kept them happily engaged throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing family getaway.

The 5 Acre Woods property was exactly as described and more. The property is very private due to the large lot and the many trees. Exactly what we were looking for. I loved that we could enjoy a wood fire both inside in the wood stove and outside in the fire pit. The inside has been updated and is very comfortable for a cooler rainy day if you don’t want to venture outside. But the outside is where the property really shines. Two decks and two balconies allow for everyone to get a great view of lakefront or woods. The first evening we were greeted by a flock of wild turkeys. And they visited us several times during our stay. We also saw turkey vultures and many chipmunks and squirrels. Walking through the woods was my favourite part. The terrain is so interesting. Mossy rocks and boulders and such a variety of trees and marshy areas too. And at night the lake is just gorgeous with the stars reflected in it like a mirror. Chandra was very quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our trip. And there were many thoughtful touches that made the trip enjoyable from all the small appliances available in the kitchen to the soap/shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. Games and puzzles too. Also providing info on side trips like Petroglyphs Provincial Park which we also enjoyed. We had a great time a look forward to a repeat visit in the future.

We (2 couples) had such a great time at The Three Loons Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed; a very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the deck, using the canoes, and paddle boats (it was greatly appreciated that there were life jackets in a variety of sizes), and sitting around the fire pit at night looking at the stars. The cottage was very clean, and came stocked with paper products, and linens. I also want to thank the owner for their regular check-ins and fast response to my questions. Lastly, and this is not a criticism but rather an FYI to future visitors, we had issues with cell phone service and GPS navigation as we got close to the cottage. So, if you’re not familiar with the area, make sure you bring a map.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! Beautiful place, well maintained clean property . The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed for cooking and bbq. I really enjoyed watching sunrise and star gazing by the river. We will definitely come back next year!
