About this property

Modern Vineyard Farmhouse - Close to Downtown Healdsburg - 4 BD/4 Ensuite Baths

What could be more memorable than a holiday gathering with family or friends in the Wine Country? Our beautiful vineyard home has not been available to rent for more than two years. But it is for this holiday season! The Farmhouse can accommodate four couples, each with their own ensuite, full-sized bathroom.

More than a Vacation Rental or a Hotel, this registered Farm Stay juxtaposes the modern Wine Country experience with Sonoma County’s viticulture heritage in a contemporary, luxurious interior. Nestled in the heart of Dry Creek Valley among Healdsburg’s well-known wineries, the Modern Vineyard Farmhouse offers accommodations for up to 8 guests. Guests are enveloped in a working viticultural property that is an easy, paved drive of less than a mile to Healdsburg’s downtown restaurants, shops and spas. Ideal for cyclists, the Modern Vineyard Farmhouse is centrally located about 1/2 mile from the intersection of West Dry Creek Road and Westside Road, two beautiful and well-know cycle routes.

This 2,800 square foot home was recently renovated from top to bottom to create an updated interior with a modern aesthetic. Decorated in a sophisticated style with playful touches, the carefully selected interior pieces create a unique, comfortable and fun interior. The Living Room and Dining Room share an elegant yet cozy fireplace. Those who are musical may enjoy the Baby Grand Piano in the Living Room. For movie watching, the Media Room’s 60-inch flat screen TV and mega-sofa offer a comfortable hangout space. The Modern Vineyard Farmhouse has four light-filled Bedrooms – each with vineyard views, a flat screen TV and a private, beautifully renovated Bathroom.

The Modern Vineyard Farmhouse has a newly built Chef’s Kitchen that opens onto the vineyard-facing deck for a classic Wine Country indoor-outdoor dining experience. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped with all that is needed to create and serve inspired meals, including a Viking 6-burner stove. Big John’s Market, a favorite local grocery store, is an easy three minute drive, as is Safeway and the Healdsburg Farmer’s Market in the summer months.

Stunning farmhouse and great hospitality!
Our group of 7 friends reunited in Healdsburg for a getaway and great wine tasting. The Modern Vineyard Farmhouse is just beautiful, and Elaine was so welcoming and kind. We definitely plan to return as soon as we can.

A Beautiful Farmhouse and Great Vacation Destination
Wow! My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend with two other couples in this lovely house. It has so much character and charm, blending original Victorian features with many modern upgrades. The kitchen was ideal for our group since we love cooking. It has a great stove, lots of work space, and opens up onto a large back deck that looks out onto the surrounding vineyards. The location of this farmhouse is a huge bonus. In just a few minutes we were in the center of Healdsburg, where we enjoyed some great wine tasting and an excellent dinner at Chalkboard. I loved so many features of this home, including each bedroom having a private bathroom and several indoor and outdoor spaces for our group to spread out and relax. We will definitely return!

Don't Miss This Experience
An amazing combination of a traditional farmhouse with modern beautiful accommodations. Set in the heart of a vineyard with extraordinary views from every window and deck, it is a quiet location that is walking or bicycling distance from Healdsburg's downtown square for excellent dining and shopping. The farmhouse has luxurious accommodations the bedding is superb, the modern kitchen and dining areas are exceptional, and the conversational areas have lush sofas and lounges and are perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with good friends and family oh! and the ribbon fireplace amazing. I highly recommend to visitors who enjoy visiting the Dry Creek Valley wine country who want an extraordinary experience for where to stay with very upscale amenities and easy access to a number of wineries, downtown Healdsburg dining and other points of interest in the area. An exceptional experience!

Critical Ingredient
Here is wisdom: Life is finite; over before you know it. Gather a few close friends whom you never get to see enough. Sync your schedules and book a long weekend at a place not your home, like THIS, the cross of a diamond and a pearl. Bring a camera, make memories you will hope to never forget. You will have a great time, ESPECIALLY if the place you pick is newly remodeled, and has an open, user friendly, high end kitchen / dining room / deck overlooking scenic vineyards. Bonus points for: first rate bedding; each bedroom having its own bath; wraparound porch; more than one large, common area; being remote and yet not too far from first class restaurants. This location is a catalyst, and it is what I was hoping it would be for my crew, and then some. Buy the ticket, take the ride. 10/10 would do again.

Fantastic House, Fantastic Location.
What a beautiful combination of historic farmhouse and contemporary comfort! My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend here with two other couples with whom we've often traveled. We all agreed that this was the best place we've ever stayed in together. Surrounded by a working vineyard, with the hills of Dry Creek Valley in the distance, it was impossible not to relax here. I loved the stylish touches like the Murano glass chandeliers in the entryway, and the floor-to-ceiling doors that folded open in the kitchen/casual dining area to reveal the deck (and its great view). What an ideal place to watch the sun set over the vineyards! Though we had no children with us, kids would be very comfortable here, and could easily have their own area to hang out in by pulling shut the impressive pocket doors (original to the house) that separate the formal dining room from the media room. The house is on a quiet road that would make playing outside safe too. Then there's the wrap around porch (with another great view of Fitch Mountain to the east, and Geyser Peak to the north) that is the perfect place to read or have a cocktail. Also loved the open kitchen with its professional stove, where the layout made cooking and conversation fun and easy. The beds were super comfortable, the beautiful bathrooms were clean and contemporary (and each bedroom had its own!), and there were lots of inviting places to gather together or spend time alone. I also appreciated the laundry room and solid Internet connection. Another plus is the incredible location, which is just a few minutes drive from downtown Healdsburg, with all its excellent restaurants, bars, wine tasting rooms, and cute shops–or you could easily walk or ride your bike there (even though the house is so close to town, you really feel like you're out in the country). It's also easy to get to Dry Creek Valley or Russian River Valley for wine tasting or bike riding. This house would be a perfect place for a family reunion, girlfriends' getaway, or book group retreat. I really can't say enough about this airy, lovely, impeccably remodeled Victorian farmhouse. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome.
Wow. (How can I give this place 6 stars?) My favorite thing to do in life is hang out with my friends, make cocktails, and have dinner on a deck overlooking a great view. This is the spot! This place is fantastic, 11 on a 10 scale. It is so spacious, clean, airy, stylishly appointed and design-savvy, it looks like Architectural Digest just finished a photo shoot- but super comfortable as well. I felt like I had won the lottery and had my new country getaway. We had dinner in town on Friday night, at Chalkboard (also highly recommended), but made most of our other meals in the brand-new kitchen with all new appliances and a huge Wolf range. The decks, the grill, the view, the grapes, the "aermotor" farm windmill, the enormous fold-away glass doors, all kept pulling us to the picnic table outside, gazing at the barn and the zinfandel vineyards and watching hawks and other birds wheeling around the huge chestnut tree in the back. The road in front is so quiet that we never saw another car pass by, only a neighbor kid on a green toy farm tractor. The rooms are huge and so airy, the bathrooms like spas with double-headed showers, the house is so charming and authentically Victorian, yet entire interior is absolutely brand-new and impeccably kept.
