Welcome to Creekside Chalet, a stunning custom home backing year-round McKinney Creek on the beautiful West Shore of Lake Tahoe. This recently-remodeled 3,300 sq. ft home features unique hand-carved cathedral ceilings, radiant-heated floors, new furnishings, 100 Mbps internet (great for video conferencing), boat parking, and is ideally suited for families with multiple young children. Come enjoy this ½ acre wooded retreat conveniently located within close walking distance to Tahoe National Forest hiking trails and the iconic Rubicon Trail, one mile from Chamber's Landing Beach and bike trails, Sugar Pine Point State Park is 5 minutes south on highway 89 and Palisades Tahoe resort is 25 minutes north.

This well-appointed luxury home offers five spacious bedrooms (including two large king suites) and three beautifully remodeled bathrooms. Each bedroom provides the comforts you expect from home, including blackout curtains, premium bedding and mattresses, and heated floors. Living spaces include a large living room, media room, formal dining area with wet bar and desk, and a kitchen fully equipped for all of your cooking needs. For entertainment there are 4 Smart TVs with streaming services, board games, DVDs, Nintendo Wii, and a 2-player arcade console with 3,000+ vintage games.

Outside awaits your own slice of the tranquil, year-round McKinney Creek. Enjoy taking in the forest and creek views from the patio, equipped with a BBQ grill, outdoor dining for 12, fire pit and lounge chairs. In summer, the kids will enjoy hours of outdoor play on the swing set or in the creek’s large wading area. Grab the beach towels, chairs, and umbrella and head down to Chamber’s Landing for an afternoon at the beach or the Bar & Grill.

Additionally, Creekside Chalet offers a wide variety of infant and children’s items including: a crib, 2 Pack 'n Plays, 2 glider/recliners, portable rocking chair, 2 high chairs, infant bouncer seat, infant swing, baby gates (at top and bottom of stairs), kids' dishes/utensils, double stroller and single stroller, 2 hiking child-carrier backpacks, indoor play nook, infant and child life vests, outdoor swing set and sandbox, many toys/board games/books/DVDs, beach toys, and snow sleds.

Parking:
Attached garage parking for 2 (tall 8’4” doors). EV car charger located in the garage. 2 additional spots on paved driveway. Additional dirt/gravel driveway parking for 3 vehicles or boat parking (May-October when no snow). No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Winter:
Backyard is great for sledding! Chains/4WD often required in Tahoe. Outdoor furniture, fire pit and BBQ grill typically not available. Whole-house backup generator provides full electricity, heat, and hot water in case of occasional Tahoe power outages. Consider trip insurance in case of severe weather conditions.

* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.

Fun vacation
We loved this clean house. It was fully equipped. Full kitchen, bathrooms had everything. It was nicely decorated. Our only issue was that there was no porch to sat on. Also, the nearlby snow place (5 min away) was closed so we had to drive 30-40 min to get somewhere.

Extremely clean. Adult son said, "this is the best kid friendly rental ever!" Saw a bear on property on two different days. Used firepit and BBQ every day, very easy. Great floorplan for multigenerational gatherings. However, no woodburning stove for winter months. The second oven is not functional which would make Thanksgiving stays more difficult.

We stayed here comfortably with 8 Adults, 2 kids, and 2 infants. The house was well set up for little ones and had lots of toys and kids items like cribs and hiking packs. The year round creek was undersold, such a nice feature of the house on a hot summer day!

Nice location near trails in Homewood. Roomy house. Bathrooms small. Very steep staircase to main level makes it hard for seniors to enjoy. Access to patio and grill area not convenient. Very clean and well equipped.
