Usually the staff are nice and the rooms are fine. On this occasion my experience was the opposite. When I arrived, the desk clerk was all smiles until he asked if I was having breakfast and then was I using the hotel car parking when I said no to both questions he showed his displeasure and was curt. The room he gave me was a normal with a double bed, but it also had a heavy fold-out single bed which took up over of the remaining free space! I stand on the thing to get to close the curtains and it was pushing up against the desk! I clearly for a ‘Standard Room’ ‘Not a Standard Room - Triple’ When I asked for a change of room I was told there we none available even though the hotel wasn’t particularly busy. I will go to the Hilton next time.
