“Big Cedar” is the most spacious of the four newly-renovated private living spaces on the Cedar Street Bungalows property. Your private entrance is through the historic home’s main front door, with private front porch, where you can rest in the rocking chairs and imagine another time in Hot Springs when this lovely home was built in 1900. At 1,200 square feet, this bungalow is noticeably roomy and uncrowded, yet it also feels cozy and comfortable. It is also perhaps a bit quirky, with a nod to whimsy – there is a working vintage Pac-Man game neatly placed in the living area.

Features a generous living room, a central dining room with seating for four, full kitchen, full bath, master bedroom with king bed, and an en-suite separate daybed and desk. The living room includes a pull-out sofa for extra guests.

This is the main house that has a separate VRBO bungalow rental accessed on the side of the structure. The two bungalows are separated by a wall with no interior access between them. The property’s other two VRBO bungalow rentals are next door in a duplex.

Kitchen: Well equipped with refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and fully stocked with cookware, dishware, cups, glasses, and utensils. All linens and towels provided.

Sleeping: One king bed, one daybed, and one pull-out sofa.

General: High-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen Roku TV with Sling TV in the living room, can stream own Netflix/Amazon, and exterior security cameras. The bungalow is heated/cooled by three brand new mini-split units with temperatures controlled by the guests. On-demand gas water heater so you never run out of hot water.

Parking: Free street parking in front is most convenient for Big Cedar, otherwise there is free parking in the driveway towards the back.

Special Amenities: Keys are provided for the Mountain Bike Barn for bike storage, and to the Laundry Room with two washing machines and two dryers. Please message us on the VRBO portal if either of these amenities will be accessed. There is also a gas grill and outdoor lounge area on site. Special amenities are free to guests. (Note: the Bike Barn was recently created by demand. It’s functional but still a work in progress as we fix it up!)

Special Service: We offer a “Surprise & Delight” Romance Package for a small fee for arriving guests. Please message us on the VRBO portal for details.

Designed to sleep one or two adult guests comfortably (limit 4 guests total).

It’s an adorable old house with modern touches. Cute and comfortable. For the price and the location you cannot beat it! The bathtub is perfect, I’m picky about bathtubs and it didn’t disappoint. The house even had a little PAC-Man machine. They thought of everything. If you forgot something, no worries it’s already in the house!

Nice, quiet getaway
This was the perfect place to celebrate our one year anniversary. The property is literally right down the street from the strip, and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The hosts are incredibly hospitable. Mr. Freddie next door is a sweetheart. He offered to let us rent his slingshot if the weather permitted. We will for sure be back. This house was cute, cozy, clean, and thoughtfully put together. There were toiletries which was great since I forgot all of mine. The house was already cool when we got there, greatly appreciated on our July weekend trip! Definitely would stay again! Walking distance to downtown too!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was beautiful and extremely clean. There were many thoughtful touches. I can't think of anything that could be done to improve. We would most definitely stay here again in the future. Check-in was extremely easy. Kitchen was very well-stocked. We didn't use the washer and dryer while we were there, but it is nice having that as an option. Great location. It is far enough outside the town area, so it is quiet, but could be within walking distance (although there is a free parking garage on Exchange Street, a block away from Central Avenue / the bathhouses).

Everything was great. Clean. Nice feel. The bed was super comfy. The house has a nice flow. It was just super nice to check in and unwind in a home-like setting before getting ready to attend a wedding. The bed was comfortable, and it was nice to wake up and have hot cup of coffee and look out onto the beautiful yard before getting ready to head out for breakfast in town.
