The unit is as good overall, and the biggest disappointment was the shower. Fix the floor. It created an unsanitary mental state since the water doesn’t drain completely. The place had character, kitchen was fully stocked with the necessities which was nice to be able to cook.

My stay was lovely and exceeded my expectations. It looked better than on the pics! I had my own little, chic apartment for the weekend and I loved that! They were responsive when I needed help finding an item in the home. The bed was comfortable! Would definitely come back!

Are stay was great everything was close by. Are accommodations were great for five people . Neighborhood was safe, the apartment has a courtyard with gate to access rooms .. A few things need to change calling fan control. While at night 2:00 in the morning .. lights are off ..if someone in another apartment turns on the celling fan light it also turns on the light in set apartment .. where we were staying.. Parking if you get there late for a late check in on a Friday thru Sunday you will not find close parking. Parking lot provided is too small …

Although the property was clean and maintained. There were a few drawbacks. There was a sewer stench coming from the bathroom that was very strong and prevailed in the apartment throughout our visit. Mgmt was unable to address and provided air fresheners but that did nothing to mask the strong odor. Also, a shower caddy and hooks on bedroom or bathroom door would have been a thoughtful addition to the apartment. Overall a nice place but they must address their sewer problems before they rent again.

Warning!
Warning! Do not rent this property! If you like sleep or hot water this is NOT the place for you. Continuous super bright light shines right in the bedroom all night. Hot water is used by other tenants and you will have none. Loud vibration and clang every time the gate shuts in the courtyard . Parking is only available for compact cars. Street parking is not very good. Place was clean and looked attractive. Bed was comfortable. But we called for refund on the following nights and we left the property and Abode refused to refund unless they sold the nights.

Overall, we really loved staying here and would definitely do so again. The rental is in a great location in Montrose, and the area around it is fairly walkable (though to get to most destinations you’ll need to drive, but that’s just the way Houston is). The only specific feedback I have for the property is it would be great to have some soap at the kitchen sink, and a box of tissues somewhere in the apartment. Otherwise the space was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure & heated up fast. Even though there wasn’t an option to store our luggage since we arrived much earlier and left a lot later than the check-in/check-out times, the property management was really quick to respond with an alternative option for this (which was SO helpful!)

Very average, but it works.
It was fine—not the worst, not the best. 3 out of 5 stars. Property condition was decent, as was the room condition. Far from sound proof...you can hear everything in the courtyard, out on the street, or in the units above. Standard Ikea-type cheap furniture which is adequate but far from remarkable. If you're not going to spend any time in your room other than sleeping, this place works.

Good location, comfortable beds. As others note, it can be a little loud at night but white noise machines help. The building is old, but with updated finishes. Having a kitchen was a big plus for our 4 days stay. Plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance.
