Be prepared before you book
We were really excited about this property. However looks were definitely deceiving. Pros: -Really beautiful environment and very peaceful. -You have electricity - Travel camping stove and two blankets provided. -Dvd Player and Tv -Fridge Cons: -No plumbing -Fly infestation -Mice issue -Floor was sticky and dead flies everywhere. -Was not cleaned beforehand so we had to clean ourselves. -The way the cabin is built looks rushed and it made it feel very unstable. As if it were built quickly and not thought through. -Almost all fuxtures are on hinges?? -The stand the holds the fride, dvd player, and tv is built so high up that you either have to stand to see or lean back. -The mattresses were tolerable, but the frames were rough to sleep on and very poorly built. Me and a frend sat on it together for a few minutes and it immediately started cracking. Plus the legs were also on hinges that swung out and only one of the beds had the legs lock in place. Which made the bed incredibly wobbly. -Further into mouse problem, there's droppings everywhere. As well as fly carcasses and a couple mice skittering about. It was unnerving.

Seclusion
If you need to get away and have no cell service with a chance to be away with no interruptions this is the place! We loved it and our teenager did have a moment after realizing there was zero service. It was great to watch our kids connect with little to no electronics. This place was secluded and extremely peaceful. Pack all the things and you will survive!

Exactly as described!
Exactly as described! They did a really good job letting me know exactly what was needed, they answered all my questions about no potable water on site and the need for firewood. The cabin is very comfortable and was perfect for my need of a place to stay to go hiking, it’s a beautiful location. The only thing I wished would have been different is that there was an actual blue number at the end of the driveway letting me know I had arrived. I drove for quite a while trying to figure out where the location of the property was since the number was missing from the end of the drive. Because there is no cell service I had to drive all the way back toward Grand Marais to get back in range (I have Verizon) to be able to call the caretakers and ask them where the property was located. Which they did, and I was able to get to it straight away. But the address listed on VRBO is not visible on the road to get to the cabin. I highly recommend this cabin if the description meets your needs, you will be very happy with your stay.
