Reception staff not welcoming at all. It was late, I was cold and tired from a long walk in the snow. Her first words were not “Welcome to The Nittany Lion Inn” but “Last name?” I expected more. The property is nice, the bed was comfy and the lobby is warm and cozy. It was good. But a smile would have gone a long way toward making my stay a great one.

Such a lovely stay! Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff was kind and considerate upon check in/out. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in the lobby and admiring the vintage knickknacks lining the bookshelves. Looking forward to future stays.

The heater in our room was so loud we ended up having to turn it off around 1 AM. We were freezing and had to sleep in our clothing as there were no extra blankets in the room. We mentioned this to the front desk the following morning and they admitted several rooms had this problem. Obviously, we would not be able to stay there again. Too bad because we thought the hotel was beautiful and the food was delicious, but not being able to sleep at night is a dealbreaker.
