Most of the room was decently clean, but there was a hairball the size of a walnut in the bathtub, as well as cracked and broken tiles. The grounds and parking lot also need some better maintenance, as there were lots of weeds and potholes.

We stayed overnight at the Shilo Inn Idaho Falls on our way through. The rooms were clean and big. The staff was super friendly. The free breakfast was simple but good. Just what we needed for our upcoming drive. I would stay here again.

It was an older hotel and it showed but at the same time it was a nice hotel. It could use with an update but it had a very nostalgic feel to it.

Disappointing
We have stayed here several in the past so the overall condition of the premesis was not a surprise. What was not expected was the rest of it. The linens and towels were stained, the room was not clean, tiles were coming loose in the bathroom, etc. Due to mobility issues, I asked for accomodations and did not get them and was given a room that was the farthest from the elevator. They also are not doing the wonderful breakfast buffet they used to have. We had a stay scheduled here on the return trip and cancelled the reservation and booked at another location in town.

Needs to be updated. Parking lot is really rough. Pot holes and no parking stall lines. If you want to check-in early. There is a $30 fee. If you want a room with a view, there is a $50.00fee. This hotel was practically empty, so I don't know why if the room was ready. I just couldn't check-in early and if it's empty, why can't I have a room with a view? Couch in my room was dirty. But the rest of the room was nice, just outdated. The Bartender in the Bar was nice and the food was good. When we first got there, there was no one on duty at the front desk even though we called for someone. Also When we left there was no one at the front desk as well.

Loved being able to walk to the Falls. Loved the friendly staff. Room was the issue. Bathroom was not good. Clean but mold in the grout, toilet seat was really old and worn. There was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom at the sprinkler head. And tiles were not repaired well.

First, I asked the clerk if there was a river view room available. He said because we went through a third party it would cost 50.09 more. But if we would have booked directly through the hotel the upgrade would have been free. They had plenty of rooms available. : (

This property is one of our top 3 properties out of 16 properties stayed in within the month of September. Its an older place but being well taken care of. The staff is very professional, the hotel and the room very clean. The property backs up to a canal and the river with walking trails. Its a superb place for service dogs to relax.
