Our stay was perfectly as expected — it was a very comfortable business hotel, right near a lot of restaurants. Check in was very easy and the staff were great.
This hotel is a very comfortable one. The service is good and the room is comfortable and the view is great over the mountains. The location is quite distant from the station, so a long walk, taxi or bus will be required if not driving.
I had not stayed in a Route Inn in Japan before but I was pleased. Very clean room with just enough space for one person, friendly staff, included breakfast with a decent selection of Japanese and Western items. The hotel is on Sengoku-dori which has a lot of small restaurants and whatnot. A relatively sort walk to a convenience store. The town center, Tsuruga Castle, and train station are walkable but far if you are not up for walking.
A lot of value for money, we stayed for two nights. Had a beautiful view of the mountains and the city. Room was nice and clean, breakfast buffet a bit limited, but fine. Overall a nice hotel, 10min walk from the city centre, 10min walk from major attractions.
Keep in mind it will take about 20 minutes to walk here from the station. Taxis are cheap and abundant though, so no problem
Hard mattress. Nice hot spring bath. Good quality breakfast included. Very friendly, helpful staff. Not real close to anything, but within easy cab ride or long walk.
