Great location for Airport Stay - Lots of restaurants and a micro brewery in the area. Gas/Convivence stores and shopping centers nearby in case you forget something - Really close to I-70

Overall, this place is clean but very expensive. There are better places that are cheaper. Also, this hotel does not tell you that they charge a $200 security deposit. I was blindsided by that and very happy nothing in that room is worth $200.

For the price it did the job. We were in town for The Era’s Tour Concert, so rooms were slim pickings. The fridge in room is the bigger scale of a dorm fridge, which was nice. The beds were a solid 7/10. The carpets could use a good cleaning. The elevator was really sketchy! Makes a horrible racket when it comes to a stop at the floor. We didn’t eat the breakfast, so I can honestly say I have an opinion on that. The area for it didn’t look like it was spacious enough for a hot breakfast so I just assumed, I could be wrong though. There is quite a bit of road/traffic noise through the night, but that’s no fault of the facility. The biggest complaint is the curtains! You’re not able to pull them closed at night and the lights from the parking lot shine in all night. There are thicker curtains on each end and sheers in the middle, but the curtains don’t move. But like I said it did the job in the end.

We stayed 4 nts due to someone tampering with our gas meter. The location is convenient to I-70 and Plainfield restaurants/shops. However, the entire time we were there someone was smoking in their room right across from us for next to us. As soon as you got off the elevator it was super strong smoke smell. I am allergic (throat swells shut, eyes swell shut) and son has asthma so this is less than ideal. We were in group of rooms right by the elevator. We complained 3 days in a row since this is supposed to be non-smoking hotel. One clerk said she would go right up and investigate, but she sat back down as soon as we left. 2nd clerk said they can't knock on doors or do anything unless they know for sure someone is smoking. It was so strong, day and night. We had to put towels at bottom of door and I had to use epipen. Finally, the morning we checked out there was no smoke. Coincidentally, the room across the hall (216) was now empty and being cleaned as I left. Someone was a huge chain smoker and smoked the entire time we were there. I have never stayed at a NON-SMOKING hotel that refused to do anything about heavy smoke from another guest. Absolutely do not stay here, unless you are okay with heavy smoke in the hallway and room. Bed was comfy, front door was extremely hard to open/close as it had swollen from humidity and was damaged/broken where safety latch was. Also, super heavy air freshener use. Room was okay, but sofabed was dingy.

This time at the hotel was not what I expected from a Comfort Inn. I have stayed at this hotel before without any real issues until this time. I walked into my room and noticed a smell. I opened the fridge and there was a sticky substance at the bottom. The fridge had not been cleaned. Whatever it was stunk and was disgusting. When I went to call the front desk my phone did not work. When I did some investigating I noticed that the phone jack was hanging out of the wall and the phone was not connected. The curtains were dirty. It was not a very good room. I will give credit to the gal at the front desk. She did come and clean the fridge and offered me another room. However, I decided to stay in the one I was at. After a day of working and traveling, I was tired and did not want to have to haul everything to another room. I was only there to sleep and it was already after 8 or so. The hotel should have checked the room for cleanliness before they booked it. Had it been done properly it would have been clean. That is usually the hotel I stay at when on my way to Oklahoma. However, I might have to rethink this after this experience. I usually do not write reviews but decided that I need to start Hotels are not cheap and we travelers expect to have, at a minimum, a clean room.

The door looked like it had been kicked in, the safety lock barely held the door in, tissue was also stuffed in peep hole. Because of events in the area no other hotel rooms an available. Front desk unhelpful and just stated make sure door was locked. Would also not give a refund if we did not stay. Corporate would not help as well. Have pictures.
