This place was a delight, the food was wonderful and if you come to stay you must have one meal here. The rooms were lovely and we had everything we needed including tea and nespresso machines in the rooms. The staff was friendly and engaging and I would come back again.

My first visit to The George Hotel was in 1995, during my very first time in Scotland. On subsequent trips I always made it a point to come to Inverary to have an evening in the tavern, which is a wonderful experience, but had never spent the night. The room was very well-appointed and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was very good indeed. Such a good location as well for it is only an hour or so from Glasgow, and the scenery on the way is truly beautiful. Already planning our next visit! Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Levendig hotel in dorpscentrum. Een komen en gaan van gasten voor het restaurant, het hotel, de beergarden. Boven een gangenstelsel van kamers met krakende houten vloeren. Modern ingericht met behoud van oude details. Gratis wifi aanwezig. Naast een brood/yoghurt ontbijt krijg je een menukaart. Ter plekke kun je een heerlijke keuze maken en dit wordt aan je tafel gebracht. Inbegrepen. Vriendelijk en gewoon personeel. Aanrader. Zeer tevreden.

What an absolute joy to be a guest at The George Hotel! Everything from the warm reception at the front desk to our amazing room, the delicious meals, and the very whisky-knowledgeable bartenders - a dream from start to finish. The minute we walked in there was a buzz about the hotel, not noisy, but a lively vibe. The staff were all really friendly and appeared happy in their jobs. The room was large with chairs to sit on and well laid out. When we booked they recommended we book for the restaurant which we had done and were pleased we did as it was full, and again a very nice vibe. The food was lovely. In the bar next to the restaurant there was a good live band after dinner, with plenty of people listening to them. Breakfast was self service buffet of cold food, then a good selection of freshly cooked hot options from the menu. Overall a lovely hotel, well recommended.
