While the hotel was nice, when we checked out of the room, we were told we need to pay the price, even though we had already paid via credit card on the Expedia site, right when we booked the room. Then the hotel owner started yelling at us, and saying he wants to be paid, and that he has no affiliations with trivago or Expedia, even though his hotel is advertised there. He was rude, insulting, and treated us like we were trying to scam him. He would not accept any form of proof of payment, neither from the Expedia site and emails I received, nor from my credit card provider who had records of the transaction. He kept yelling this is not his bank account, and ultimately we were threatened to pay in cash for a second time. Horrible experience.
