To be clear, this is a two star hostel, with thin futons, shared bathrooms and sometimes shared rooms. There are both dorms and private rooms. Walls are very thin, and noise made by late arrivals can be considerable. I am over 60, and most of the other guests were in their 20's. But the manager, Hiro, gives 5 star service, and I am very happy that I stayed here. He helped rent a car, and gave directions to some of the most beautiful secret beaches, reachable only through sugar cane roads and a brief walk through the jungle. In fact, he helped plan my whole day. I stayed 3 nights, and I would stay here again, and I do admire the spirit of the young travelers.. Great breakfast for 350 yen.
