Very helpful and friendly staff all around. Rooms are always clean. Facilities are very new or recently updated. But the real highlight is the location. 5 minutes walk from everything: the grand Bazaar, the spice Bazzar, the blue mosque, Aya Sophia, Basilica, etc. Tram station 2 minutes away which can take you all over Istanbul. I’m definitely going back to the same hotel for my next visit to Istanbul.

The hotel's location is amazing. Short walking distance from all major tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet is superb, everything is delicious! Plus, everyone in the staff will always make you feel welcome, and will go out of their way to help you with anything you might need, and make sure you love and enjoy your stay! Highly recommend!

We stayed at Carina Gold Hotel. We had 2 rooms for 8 people. Room 109 & 309 We were greeted by reception staff with the most welcoming smiles. Halil was so funny and gave us so much information about how we could spend our time in Istanbul. Staff took us to our rooms and signed us into hotel WI-FI, which was a nice touch. In the morning, Halil was kind enough to give us a IstanbulKart to use during our stay. One card could be used for 8 of us. This was very much appreciated by us all. Breakfast was lovely with a nice variety of items, if you would like omelette, you just need to ask staff who will happily provide this. The hotel was very clean and room cleaning was done everyday, staff smiling always. Location of hotel is perfect, near Tram line T1 (Cemberlitas) 2 min walk. 5 min walk to Grand Bazaar 5 min walk to Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia Mosque Fast food restaurant, good for kids. On our last day, we were able to keep 1 room with late check out 8pm at a small fee. On our last day, our taxi was running late. Enis Atis came up to me and requested I call taxi firm and he would speak in Turkish and ensured there was no language barriers. This helped ease my anxiety. He then helped our group of 8 to get all luggages onto the taxi. Carina staff went above and beyond, we are so grateful to everyone at this amazing hotel. InshaAllah we will soon be back.

Excellent area. Very close to everything, walking distance to all the major attractions. I found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. When researching hotels for my visit, I narrowed it down to 4 hotels in approximately the same area. I am VERY glad I chose this one as the others did not match the description in person. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved the property and the location. The property is spotless, rooms are a good size, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was excellent. The included breakfast was a great start to the day with enough choices. We had dinner there one evening and it was great too. The location is the best! It’s walking distance to the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, Taksim Square, etc., as well as shops and restaurants. This was our second time in Istanbul. We were in Istanbul in May on a free stopover with Turkish Airlines and stayed at a large chain hotel that was not close to anything. This time Turkish Airlines’ free stopover hotel wasn’t available and I am so glad it wasn’t because we found this gem of a hotel. We stopped over for two days and I would rather pay to stay here than get a free hotel that requires a taxi ride to get to anything. The only downside is that our room faced the street and we heard street noise - trucks going down the street at night. However, this would not stop me from staying here again. I would just bring earplugs. If we’re in Istanbul again, this is where we would stay.

Exceptional stay at Carina Gold. Modern, clean quiet and perfectly central. Reception desk staff Enes, Halil, Salih and not to forget Ece in the restaurant were all very helpful and pleasant. The private tour guide Aydin that Salih recommended was excellent, we had a walking tour, and since everything is within walking distance we covered almost everything in 8 hours, furthermore we skipped all the lines.
