This hotel is in a word…sumptuous! Upon check in, we were given a free upgrade and they sent complimentary fruit and nuts to us later that evening. The hotel is clean, with quality in every single detail, from the marble floors, chandeliers, and beautifully appointed and spotless rooms. This was truly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. It is a bit farther from the tourist attractions but a short tram ride. It also was WAY less touristy and the surrounding restaurants and stores had much better prices and more delicious food. I would also highly recommend the breakfast at the hotel. It says continental but it was complete and delicious with rows of fresh fruits and vegetables and baked goods, as well as made-to-order Omelettes and eggs any style. We enjoyed it every single morning and had different foods each day!

This is certainly not a 5 star hotel and any suggestion that it is is both misplaced and misleading. Rooms are tired and dusty and towelling is worn and scratchy as indeed is the bed linen with has holes in it.
