An excellent property with every key attraction within reach. I canceled Ritz and decided to stay here and do not regret a bit. The view from the hotel is top notch. 100 percent recommend this hotel.

Staff was extremely kind and polite. The rooms need some love. The shower head didn’t stay up properly and water got everywhere. The toilet flush consistently stuck, the safe was locked when we got to the room (but the staff kindly helped us more than once), the bed was a bit stiff, the pillows were stiff, and the air conditioning was off/not operating when we visited. The other downside was the noise. Where we were at in the hotel, the noise from the lobby floated directly to our room. We ended up putting a blanket by the gap in the door to help block it out. When we opened the windows to get air flowing into the room, we were low enough to the ground level that the noise and smoke traveled up to our room. This is all to say- the staff is kind and helped us as they could. The breakfast was at the rooftop and had a lovely view and spread. The area around the hotel is very touristy. There are stores selling fake designer items and restaurant workers trying to get you to come to their restaurant. The prices at restaurants and stores are higher in this area than others. It is, however, very walkable to the grand bazaar and mosques. Still, I’d suggest staying in another neighborhood and visiting this area vs. staying in this area.

The room was disappointing, it was small and did not resemble any of your photographs. Toilet flush and air conditioning were not working properly, the curtain rail was not fitted correctly. The only redeeming factor was the cleaning lady Aliye who was very helpful. Bearing in mind the hotel was not full we could have been allocated a better room.

Pleasant stay with beautiful terrace view. Perfect location with all main sites in walking distance. Lovely housekeeper especially lady named Aliye. Only down side was it got a little warm at night and air con didnt seem to work efficiently but otherwise no issues.

Excellently sited hotel in easy walking distance of most of the old town attractions and tram & open topped bus tour stops. The staff were absolutely lovely & couldn’t do enough for me (I am disabled). I loved the fabulous views from the rooftop restaurant and my private terrace overlooking the Bosphorus. The decor has an antique Turkish flavour & I loved it. The food is ok - breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and Chef did his very best to cater for my difficult allergies. The only negatives were the dining room was very cold @ night and there were quite a lot of small things that needed a Handyperson’s attention - which was a shame (curtain off hooks, wall paint flaked off, broken tieback hooks, flickering lights, broken door handle on terrace door). Would I stay there again? Definitely!

Sultanhan Hotel's dining room has an incredible view over Istanbul. Downside is you spend so much time admiring the view, you are not likely to have an early start to your day.

A splendid hotel nestled in the heart of the historic city. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always eager to help. Rooms are richly decorated, though the internet connection was poor, and under the beds could do with some cleaning. The lobby, adorned with authentic Ottoman-era furnishings, adds to the hotel's unique charm. But the true jewel in the turban is the rooftop restaurant where surrounded by the city’s iconic minarets, you can savor the complimentary breakfast with your fellow guests in the morning or enjoy a quiet, enchanting evening with a good book. My family and I look forward to visiting again!

First, this hotel is exceptionally situated just a few minutes from major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. However, since it is on a side street, it is very quiet. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff is incredibly helpful and attentive, and the rooftop restaurant has spectacular views of the city. A great choice!

We stayed for 4 nights. Arrived at 3am on our first night and we were assigned a room on the 1st floor. As an Expedia VIP member, we’re eligible for a room upgrade. When we asked, was told to check back the front desk in the morning. The room on the 1st floor had a window with a wal view! Room was dim, dusty, bathroom sink, toilet, and tub needs updating. The bed cover was dusty as if no one had stayed in the room before. The next day we were moved to the 5th floor- same room size but definitely better room- it’s the actual room you visualize as seen in the pictures on the Expedia website. Clean and bathroom has been updated. Room view is the street at the front of the hotel, nice balcony and good natural light. Wish we were placed in this room to begin with instead of inconvenienced us to love our stuff. Room stay came with breakfast on the rooftop with 360degrees view of the area- great view. Breakfast was just alright, they serve the same thing everyday. More of a 3star hotel vs 4 stars on Expedia.Convenient location though, you can walk to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Great location for using the tram as well.
