We checked in close to midnight as I had flown in and got delayed. When we got to our room, there was a large bug crawling on the bathroom floor. I'll start this by saying I remember when they built this Candlewood. The hotel is no where near new but you cannot really tell it's age. All I can say is for an extended stay...it ranks you there with some of the better hotels I have stayed in. Super friendly staff and the property was super clean. The room was fantastic. Really clean and well supplied. Only noted two things that I can say was a "things to improve". One, regular coffee in the room please and the parking lot was full. They did have decaf coffee and I am absolutely sure the staff would have found me regular if I asked. I didn't because I took the short walk to the coffee shop just out of the parking lot. This is a plus in my book. When I travel back to New Bern again I will definitely look for a room here first.
