First of all, don’t get bamboozled! Despite the address saying this is in Jacksonville, it’s actually more than ten miles outside of Jacksonville and there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING else around. $250/night for the deluxe kingsize is a stretch. Maybe I wouldn’t be so disappointed if I had paid less. Like $100/night less. The “art” and furniture should have stayed at the garage sale it was purchased from. There is no shower. NO. SHOWER. There is no tv. TV would have come in handy to drown the noise of the very performative sex happening in the room above. I mean, you can hear EVERYTHING! If you’re anti tv then provide a borrowing library with books and games. Provide the rooms with Bluetooth speakers. Something. The “linens” were sad. The duvet insert was tired and flat. The duvet was actually a sheet it was wrapped up in. The PAPER blinds were dusty and dirty and needless to say not blackout nor was the cheap curtain so when the sun comes up so do you. The view of the river from the private porch was overshadowed by the noise of the patio full of restaurant patrons 40 yards away. They don’t shut up until 10:00pm. The slipper chairs in the room are unusable. The multiple mismatched (and broken) lamps don’t provide much light. The bedside tables are tiny to the point of being useless. No info on where to get ice, restaurant hours, etc. no room service. On a good note, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly if scarce, restaurant was a surprise. Superb food and drinks.
The service was great, the room was spectacular. The only thing that i didn't like (and this was taken care of in a timely matter) was there were no towels in the bathroom. Other than that very small problem, the stay there was great
The location is amazing, the food was great in the restaurant. The bed was very comfortable but the lounging furniture was a little less comfortable.

You’re right next to the river which is very pretty! The drive from Medford to the property is a really nice drive passing many wineries.
Coffee, creamer, and an electric kettle is provided in your room. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed (wish we would’ve been told it wouldn’t be open during our stay as this is a ways out of town) and they were out of power when we arrived. Between the generator kicking on and off all night and the complete absence of staff during our night stay this review isn’t a good one. While all efforts were made to figure out the power issue, there was no welcome, introduction to the property, a run down of what’s offered, or what’s available to us during our stay. The last thing, there were two children (not guests) left unattended at the property the entire night with no other adult in sight. While trying to enjoy the quite we listened to their iPads, videos, and screaming.
Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
Beautiful setting and good restaurant with limited hours. No showers. No TV. Toilet kept running which we reported but was not fixed. Comfy bed. Difficult to find someone on the premises for help or questions. Just needs some general TLC. Would probably not stay again.
The room was stifling hot. After three hours, the air conditioner finally brought the temperature down, but only one person in our party was able to sleep. It was a surprising fail for an otherwise excellent lodge. I'd request in advance that the staff bring the temperature to an acceptable range before arrival.
The Lindsay Lodge is an amazingly beautiful classic lodge-style building with high ceilings, stunning wood construction, abundant decks / balconies and large windows facing the Applegate River. The attached restaurant served us a well-presented gourmet dinner, and the cocktails were inventive and delicious. We stayed in the "honeymoon suite" celebrating our anniversary, which was accessed through a door off the lobby great room to a private deck overlooking the river. It was private, peaceful, massive, and beautifully appointed. The property was purchased from the original owners fairly recently by a local family. I know they have been renovating the rooms and making general upgrades. Our suite only had a couple very minor cosmetic fixes to be complete. This in no way detracted from the room, but I want to give an accurate description of the property at the time of our stay. although this is very much a destination location it is central to a number of good wineries and lavender farms. There is also a well-stocked country store with deli and coffee right across the street. I highly recommend putting this property on your "must stay in Oregon" locations.
This was a wonderful property. I great break from driving and city travel. This was a little oasis.
We must have been off season as the restaurant wasn't open and there was no one else there. Check to see if the restaurant is open as you may find yourself having to drive 20 min or more to find food. This is a remote type of property. If you are look for a little spot in the woods on the river this is it.
