Guests should check out Madison Blue Springs State Park (or any of a dozen other crystal-clear natural springs within a short drive) for swimming and kayaking, or any of four nearby blackwater rivers, including the iconic Suwanee, Alapaha, Withlacoochee and Santa Fe, all renowned for fishing, kayaking and floating. The house is minutes away from the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, where music and festival fans can catch live outdoor and indoor music all year long.

The house is close to Suwannee River State Park and Gibson Park. During the winter dry season, guests can ride ATVs along the dry and sandy Alapaha River bed — and they can float and fish the same river starting in the spring! The house is within easy reach of the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, one of the best places to see alligators in the wild. For beach lovers, Bonita Beach on the Gulf of Mexico is just over an hour away, and Atlantic coast beaches around Jacksonville are 90 minutes away.

Head to the nearby classic Southern community of Madison, known for its antebellum history and its antique boutiques. The quaint town of Live Oak, a short drive away, has some excellent fine-dining options. Guests are 20 minutes away from Valdosta, Ga., and some great shopping. There’s also a wildlife park and amusement park — Wild Adventures — within a 20-minute drive!

Back at the house, the fun only continues as guests gather inside or outside and indulge in this home's fabulous amenities! Outside, get out of the sun under a gorgeous wooden pergola and roast s'mores over an outdoor firepit. Barbecue on the quaint patio and enjoy the sounds of tree frogs and cicadas as the sun sets.

Heading inside, the charm of this home is contagious! Lounge in the cozy living room where the seating is soft and the TV is large. In the adjacent well-equipped kitchen, cook amongst beautiful laminate countertops and brand-new appliances. Guests have unlimited access to a private washer/dryer. When it’s time to eat, dine as a family at the formal dining table, or alfresco on the patio, equipped with a six-seat table under a shading umbrella.

The bedrooms, each spacious, bright and well-decorated, offer lovely sleeping quarters for up to six people. Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
