This Mid Century Modern A Frame was the former home of my grandparents and has been renovated for you to enjoy. This lodge was named after my grandmother, Margie B. You will find it is the one of the most unique places to stay in Southern Illinois. Our three themed bedrooms are super fun. The "Daisy Cottage" on the main level is soft and romantic. The lower level bedroom has the soul of a Bohemian. We call her "The Gypsy Room". The loft, or as grandma called it, "The Crow's Nest" is a walk on the wild side and now is affectionately named the "Jungle" Room. All bedrooms have king sized beds. The lodge has the kitchen, dining room and living room on the main level. Our custom decor will have you falling in love with the inside as much as the outside. This lake side property is equipped with a dock to fish from, covered hot tub and BBQ area as well as a fire pit with beautiful views. Our property sits next to Shawnee National Forest, Trails of Tears State Forest and LaRue Pine Hill, which has thousands of acres for exploring. Our lower level game room has a retro design perfect for hanging with your friends. Feel free to spin our vintage records, play games, have a cup of coffee while watching the fish play. We have bass, bluegill, catfish and crappie. The Loch Ness monster as also be spotted. We have wild life including hoot owls, deer, and the occasional bald eagle. Southern Illinois is a great location for birdwatching. The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is a hop, skip and a jump away. Margie B's Mid Mod Lake Lodge was built in 1970. The renter must be at least 25 years of age. Base rate is for 2 people. We can accommodate up to 6. See rate table. Prospective guests must review, complete and return our Rental Agreement including the names of all guests. Once this is completed, we will be able to move towards confirming your reservation.
