Very disappointing. Extremely run down and desperately in need of full refurbishment. Staff members were pleasant and helpful and bedding / towels were clean, but room was in terrible condition and frankly unsafe (poor electricals, smoke alarm disabled etc.). There was no working wi-fi and decor was reminiscent of a 1980's Soviet backpacking hotel. Breakfast (included), was ok. Based on this experience, my advise would be 'avoid'!
I really liked this hotel, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and it’s kept spotless.
Excellent breakfast. I only hope they get air conditioning - I understand this is regional (other family members were at different hotels in town too) - but we happened to be there during a humid heatwave and sleeping was tricky.

The staff was outstanding at this hotel. The hotel itself looks as though it requires new ownership. A lot of repairs and updates need to be made. You can tell whoever owns the hotel does not care, nor put effort into it. Where the hotel is located is outstanding! I’m walking distance and in the heart of everything to do in Tournai. So if you are not looking to spend much time in the hotel, it works. If you want to visit a beautiful Belgian city and have the same experience in the hotel as you do outside, then I would not recommend.
We were on a bike trip from Amsterdam to Paris, and Tournai was the first town where we felt a little uncomfortable with youth hanging out along the river--broken glass etc. The only town besides Paris with a visible homeless population.
The room was not clean, especially the bathroom. Lots of mold, including on the shower curtain. would not stay again.
In the city centre. Might be a problem if your driving.
But for motocycles no problem and space around the back and locked at nght.
Morning breakfast was excellent.
Staff as helpfull.
No problems.

Disappointing
The staff on reception were very pleasant and spoke English. As we arrived after 5pm we were able to park in the square in front of the hotel for free until 9am the next morning. In general the hotel is old and in need of some refurbishment. The room and bathroom were small but clean. The bed was not comfortable as it sagged in the middle. Also the hairdryer got very hot but didn’t blow any air which is a fire hazard which we reported to reception. The location is good, close to the cathedral and main square.
Overall was good. Location is perfect walking distance from the center. Room was small but its fine for couple of nights. Room and bathroom was clean. Stuff at Reception very friendly and helpful. Took only 2 mins to come up and respond. I recommend it for 1-2 nights
Very friendly staff whose English came to the rescue when our French occasionally failed. Perfect location and feasible for the traveller in a wheelchair, as long as able to transfer (my chair is wider than usual and the doorway to the en suite was just a little too narrow).

Characterful like a quirky old friend.
Nice, old-fashioned hotel bang in the centre of town. Lots of character, but not super luxury. Suited me perfectly.
A great experience , really simple and calm place .

Good value for money in the centre of Tournai
Excellent central location. Parked for free just outside, the €1 per hour after 9am. It’s a fairly old hotel, so no aircon, which was a shame as it was extremely hot! However, they did provide a fan. On the whole, for a brief stay in Tournai, the hotel is good value for money.
We arrived by bicycle and were well accommodated with a place to store the bike etc. The hotel is amidst several bars which is nice if you care to visit the bars but it was very noisy on a Friday night until ~2 AM or so. The room was pretty hot when we arrived (as if from a source (kitchen?) below, but cooled quickly with windows open. our room faced the piazza where the bars are and with window open, it was super loud until things closed and crowds cleared out. The bars were mostly frequented by 20 somethings..
