I stayed more than 2 weeks because I was having my wedding in Kaohsiung. I travel with my family, we even booked 2 rooms and my friends 2 more rooms and the service was really not up to standard. We keep having issues mainly because of the language. The hotel said they speak English, Spanish, German, etc. The truth is every time we wanted to call room service or other they barely speak English. They kept bringing us the wrong order and try to charge us for it because they couldn’t understand what we asked for in the first place and they were not helpful at all!
Even for my wedding day we request a simple favor, to clean on of the rooms earlier to do the tea ceremony, as they couldn’t lent us a room for 1 hour and wanted to charge us 8,000NT, and they said they couldn't! clean 1 room earlier! My husband, that is Taiwanese had to come over(not staying at the hotel)call the manager for them to agree. The worst part, I mistook the date of arrival and put a day earlier which I personally went the day before check-in to talk to the manager to see if they could kindly not charge it. They agreed, they couldn’t do it right away because I booked through Hotels.com, but they assure me if I didn’t’ use it, after hotels.com called them they could refund me the day. However, I contact them later for the refund and they answer that even if I didn’t use the room they will charge me, I reply them an email that I spoke with Ms.X where she assure me they will refund me. They never reply back!
