Beautiful boutique hotel with breakfast
The modernization of this old property is incredible. It still keeps all of its charm without being too flashy. Welcome gifts waited in the room for me with handwritten notes. Walk to town in 2-3 minutes. Could not recommend more.

View of acropolis from my room was beautiful. The room deck bar was busy & fun with a gorgeous view of acropolis and city. The staff was very helpful and gave a great restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend!

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the Essence Suites were. The staff were there to greet us upon arrival and we were treated to a fresh lemonade and chocolate covered raspberries. We were giving your advice and maps for Kefalonia before being shown to our immaculate room. Our breakfast out by the pool each morning was fresh and delicious. We cannot wait to stay here again in the future!

Boutique style accomodation with amazing breakfast
Argostoli Essence Suites is a small boutique style hotel, just a short walk from the pedestrianised main street and square. The staff are all incredibly friendly, you get a very bespoke and helpful service. Dimitris in particular was excellent, offering to help via WhatsApp with car hire and plenty of local advice. There are 8 rooms and we stayed in Room 201 on the first floor (above ground level) with a balcony overlooking a church with partial sea and mountain views. If you're awake early the sunrise view is impressive. The bed was comfortable with high quality linens. The room had a superb open-plan bathroom with his/hers showers and sinks with Molton Brown toiletries that were topped up daily. The bedroom had a beautiful contemporary large fitted wardrobe with lots of storage space as well as a minibar and a Nespresso pod coffee machine. You can select up to 4 dishes per person for breakfast, our highlights were the pancakes and traditional dishes such as pies, bougatsa and riganada. The only slight disappointment was the pool area - we were expecting a larger pool area with sun loungers or deck chairs, instead the pool area is very small with no real area to relax outside - except for the cafe style breakfast tables and chairs. Also, despite being "adults only" accommodation there were some young children during our stay. Overall we would highly recommend this accommodation as a base to explore Kefalonia from, the staff are exceptional and the rooms are beautiful.
