A family-friendly holiday gem, this modern 2 storey home is only 1.3km from the centre of Kingscote. The house features 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, 2 living areas and a fully equipped kitchen. The property also has undercover parking for 1 vehicle and additional off-street parking for a further 4 vehicles. Air-conditioning on both levels makes the house comfortable all year around.
Upstairs is a queen bedroom with ensuite comprising of a WC, spacious bath and shower. The bedroom is a generous size and has a built-in robe and a tall-boy dresser. The living area offers 2 large, comfortable lounges and the dining table can seat up to 8. The breakfast bar, directly behind the dining table, can seat an additional 4 people and is a favourite place for kids to sit. The chef's kitchen has a child-safe halogen cooktop, oven, convection microwave, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer and ample pantry storage. A balcony with an outdoor timber setting and family size Webber Q leads off from the dining area. There is also a separate WC and vanity basin adjacent to the living room.
The downstairs area includes 4 bedrooms, a second living area, a bathroom and laundry equipped with a washing machine and dryer.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and built-in robe, bedroom 3 has a bunk with a double mattress on the bottom and a single mattress above. The room also has a king single bed with a double quilt. Bedroom 4 has a double bed and built-in robe and bedroom 5 has a single bunk bed (please note: top bunks are not suitable for adults). There is also a hot/cold outdoor shower at the rear of the house for washing off after the beach and a clothes line to hang your towels. An outdoor fish cleaning table with running water can be found in the backyard if you happen to catch your evening meal.
The house is located 1 block back and a 2 minute walk from the beach and enjoys a slightly elevated ocean vista. The town centre is a 2 minute drive or a 15 minute walk away and offers many conveniences such as pubs, cafes, petrol stations, banks, restaurants, take-aways and other specialty shops. There is also a supermarket, hairdresser, bakery, gallery and museum.
Kingscote has an ocean tidal pool, jetty, playground and lovely walking trails. Nearby is the Kangaroo Island Brewery, Kangaroo Island Spirits, Bay of Shoals Winery and the honey producer Island Beehive. A short drive away is the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery, Clifford's Honey Farm and the Emu Bay Lavender Farm.
Kingscote is the perfect central location from which to explore the island.
