First day of the New year resolutions?
Really enjoyed my stay at Carnoustie golf hotel and spa check in fast and efficient ,needed a Double bed rather than 2 singles no problem for the very pleasant receptionist, a great stay congratulation's on the refurbishment

There was nothing that we did not like about our stay! We decided to escape for one night, without the kids, to relax after a hectic Christmas and it did not disappoint. The room was very spacious, well laid out, and very clean. We had dinner in the main restaurant (Calders) and the food was exceptional, thank you to the chef and staff who welcomed and served us. We had the pleasure of using the newly refurbished spa facilities (apparently some work still to be done but we could not tell) and what a relaxing experience it was. An all round cosy comfortable stay for 2 busy parents, with fantastic customer service, and all that Carnoustie Golf Hotel has to offer. Thank you and we will be back

The only downside was that the seals had gone in the windows so the wind noise (and draughts) made sleeping very difficult. I appreciate it is a very exposed location (particularly the west facing rooms which we had), however properly fitted and maintained modern windows perform far better than this. Other than that the staff were excellent and the newly refurbished leisure club is also good. Food was good but the Sports Bar was cold in the evenings (again because of glazing issues). Not sure if the double glazing is part of the ongoing refurb but if its gets sorted then it will be 10/10.

A warm welcome from the check in staff and then to find my room had a lovely view out over the golf course. The room was a junior suite. An exceptionally comfy bed, a large rain shower, a huge sofa, and a Nespresso machine were among the facilities on offer. Breakfast was served in Calder’s bistro. I got a lovely table by the window and my order was taken quickly and arrived equally quickly. Fantastic pancake stack with blueberries and maple syrup. The only blight on the horizon was the toast machine. It cremated my toast - twice. However, a staff member was quick to sort things out for me. All in all a superb stay.

A very pleasant stay
Hotel was pretty quiet on the Sunday when we arrived. I guess this was mainly due to the fact that there was work being carried out on the leisure facilities and was reflected in the price of the room. We had been well warned about this in advance but as we were going to be out and about exploring the local area, it wasn’t a big issue for us. We received a very friendly welcome from the receptionist on duty and our standard double room was warm and clean and spacious enough for us. Soundproofing was also excellent which helped us to have a lovely peaceful sleep. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel but the breakfast we had the next morning was superb and once again the staff on duty were all so friendly and polite. The ev charge points in the car park were a great help and certainly saved us a lot of time. Thanks to everyone for a very relaxing and enjoyable one night stay..!

Spa facilities being refurbished so lower rate for room which made it even better value for upmarket room. Central position close to golf course, town centre & beach. Ample free parking.
