Very good

The service was top-notch. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. Even with minimal Japanese ability we were able to check in and get what we needed with no trouble. My favorite moment was after we checked in and set our luggage in the room, we went down to the restaurant and they had already prepared and set our dinner table. The food was amazing! I didn’t know that I like sushi but the meal was fantastic.
The beds are typically firm as in many other Asian hotels. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If you like to wear a yukata and go to the onsen, they have that too. Overall we had a lovely stay and will plan to go back in the future.
Stayed 6 nights, with day trips to the surrounding area. The hotel is a bit dated, but is clean enough. The front desk has limited hours, but the staff were helpful when they were there. The one night we had dinner at the hotel, it was really good and plenty filling. The immediate area around the hotel is dead in the evenings (there are only 2 dinner options after 6:00p), so this is not the place to be for partying. But the lake and surrounding area have a lot to do during the day, and follow it up with a quiet evening.
Clean hotel with superb location next to the lake. Will stay again

It is an old Japanese type of onset hotel.
The staff is very nice.
There is no restaurant for dinner to eat out if you don’t have the hotel’s set dinner menu and very expensive! ( no convenience store )
Take some food with you if you are not going to have their set menu!

Disliked: Staff & service
Not recommended to non Japanese speaking person
Terrible experience here , definitely not for non Japanese speaking guests . Hotel restaurant does not care to serve customer who has not per booking for meal despite there is only 1 shop open and serve noddle . Completely shocking most of the restaurants here do not open or simply close at 5:00 pm during summer time and the hotel does not bother to inform customer early about the situation so we can change our plan to stay or maybe preserve our meal earlier.
