They have everything. Plenty to do. It’s away from the “hustle” of the backpacker areas, but a Tuk Tuk can get you there just out the front. Staff are excellent and the rooms are just awesome. We will be back!

Such an amazing hotel! Stunning! Beautiful Beach across the road which is a lot more relaxed than other busy areas. Lots of great places to eat and drink nearby if you want to try something different. Really good gym and pool facilities and super polite staff. Loved this place. Hope to come back one day.

Great activities in the hotel. Rock climbing and paddle fit are unique to this hotel from my stays in Thailand. Breakfast food and customer service were outstanding. We ate at Nook which was great food although slighter smaller portions and higher prices than locals. However, they had great service and restaurant ambience, typically hotel 5 star restaurants are a bit more expensive. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed stay and although not targeted for babies the staff made us feel so welcome and accommodated him fantastically well.

We had an amazing stay. The staff are so hospitable and accommodating. The hotel wasn't busy when we arrived and we were able to check in to our rooms early after arriving in the morning. On our final day, we were also able to use one of the rooms late since we had a nighttime departure. The food was awesome and there are lots of really good restaurants within walking distance. The beach is just across the street and it's nice and quiet compared to the more popular beaches. Overall an amazing stay and we'll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend if you are looking for a wellness and quiet getaway. The pools and spa were great, and so was the room. Very clean and spacious. Balcony also had nice unblocked views. Minor suggestions for improvement: 1) As it was monsoon season, some of the restaurant options weren’t available, which I only found out by chance later. Would be good if the concierge staff when checking in could inform the visitors from the onset. 2) The experience at the NAAM spa was disrupted with children who were running around and were quite noisy, which defeated the intent and vision of the spa. Hopefully the hotel can administer and police this better for future clients. That said, overall, it was still an enjoyable stay for me.

Varana Hotel in Krabi is almost new and a lot of money and thoughts have gone into making this a brilliant hotel, including a 50m olympic size swimming pool and other pools, some whirlpool spa-style. It was low season so no crowds around the pool and therefore a very happily quiet stay. The on-site restaurants Kin (breakfast) and Nook (dinner) served excellent food and the staff were attentive, polite and helpful throughout. There is a road to cross to get to the beach, but the fantastic pool more than made up for the need for visiting the beach at all. Altogether, an excellent hotel. The area around it has plenty of cheap restaurants and massage parlours for those who want to explore on foot.

It was an amazing property, I was bummed that the upper onset wasn’t opened when I was there I guess it will be open next month. I definitely recommend booking the hotels island tour. It was great we had a boat to our selves

The property is only one year old, so everything was brand new. We would definitely stay at Varana again when we're in the area. The Spa needs improvement to feel like a Spa. Massage was mediocre.

What a wonderful experience at The Varana Hotel. The staff was absolutely lovely from start to finish. They were very accomodating and made our visit extra special. The whole hotel vibe was super beautiful and modern. Our room was spacious and I loved the sustainability throughout the entire property. The breakfast was delicious and had many made to order and healthy options. The restaurant Kin, was also so good. We ate there regularly for lunch and dinner. Lastly, the Onsen spa was amazing and we enjoyed how nice and clean it was. Overall, a magical experience! We hope to be back!

Varana is a very nice property. It is *not* directly on the beach; but a very short walk across the street. Staff is super attentive and friendly. The property is gorgeous and the room is quite comfortable. We would stay again for sure.
