Centre of Ostersund
We were just overnighting in Ostersund between train journeys. Typically Swedish cheap self help hotel. We did not see any staff during our stay! We were given the code to let ourselves in at 9pm (the staff had long since gone home) and came down to find a very good breakfast laid out. Coffee and tea machines, sandwiches and biscuits laid out on arrival. Very comfortable room though with small bathroom. Very good base for exploring this university city, close to the centre and railway station.

Fint hotell med hjemløse i gangen
Hotellrommet var lite og relativt rent, men helt ok til den standarden jeg forventet til denne prisen. Frokost var helt grei. Det største nedtrekket var de to «ikke-gjestene» som snek seg inn på natten og sov i resepsjonen/fellesarealene. De var tydelig ruset og lukten av dem spredte seg gjennom gangene. Første natten møtte jeg de i 4-tiden da jeg skulle ut en tur. De gikk ut og da jeg skulle inn igjen grep i døra bak meg (låst med kode som jeg hadde) og snek seg inn bak meg. Den andre natta hørte jeg de bråkte i gangen, hvor jeg fant de sovende kl. 7 om morgenen. Når jeg bestiller et hotell er det å kunne føle seg trygg veldig viktig, og dette ble ikke ivaretatt på hotellet som ikke har noe form for sikkerhet utenom resepsjonens åpningstid. Jeg kommer ikke til å bestille rom her igjen av denne grunnen.
