The room was excellent, I liked the kitchen, it had free in-suite laundry, and the location was perfect. The only real problem is that they had a self check-in system, but instead of sending me the information for the procedures at the time of booking, they waited until just before the stay. I'm sure this seemed reasonable to them, but by that time we were already in Japan, and the member of the party who made the reservation had trouble getting working internet. So we were blindsided by the need to work out photos of our passports and navigate their check-in website on the night we arrived. You had to reach their check-in website using a QR code from your phone, which would be a problem for less tech-savvy travelers or those with internet problems.
They actually had an employee on site who you would think could have taken care of that (even if that just meant inputting all the same information into the webpage for us) but she mostly just stood there and smiled and pointed to the QR code.
Other than that, the place was excellent, and I would stay there again.
