Loved our stay in Kyoto at this hotel! It’s located right on top of a donut shop and a walk away from several restaurants and stores. The room was spacious and service was great. I’d definitely come back!

We were pleasantly surprised with the niceness of this hotel. It looks pretty generic from the picture, but it's decorated quite nicely inside. The room is small but comfortable. There actually was more room than I was expecting. The bathroom reminds me of a cruise ship bathroom, but was fine. The staff were very friendly and there are a lot of toiletries available in the lobby which came in handy because I had left a few things at the previous hotel in a drawer. The only negative was that we had booked this specifically because it had a washing machine, but the washing machine kept going into an error state after a load. We did one load, then in the morning it wouldn't start and had an error. I reported it to the front desk, and they said they would fix it. It worked that night, but again in the morning it was in error. We had a lot of laundry we had planned to do, but were unable to, unfortunately.

Location of the hotel was excellent. Walkable to Gion and so many shops & restaurants to choose from. Taxis available across the streets. Would definitely stay at the tokyu stay Sakaiza again and highly recommend.

Fab Hotel
Fab location in Kyoto with really lovely kind staff. Great looking hotel with all the amenities needed. In the heart of downtown Kyoto but only a 10minute walk into the hiatoric district so best of both. Train station 1min walk to hotel and 1min walk to bus routes for Nijo Castle and Golden Temple. Would definitely stay here again - loved it!
