Beautiful beach!

We got married on the peaceful quiet beautiful beach here. It was in October and there was one other family staying at the property so it was like we’d rented out the whole place. It is very basic and not easy to get to, but once you arrive, they’ve got a nice pool and restaurant to enjoy yourself and your family.

If I could give this "resort" 0 stars, I would. For $150 a night, I expected at least basic cleanliness and functionality, but it fell far below even the lowest standards. The room was disgusting, with a missing toilet paper holder and floors and shower that appeared to have gone years without proper cleaning or mopping. I highly doubt the room was disinfected between guests. Bugs were everywhere, which might be expected in the area, but the lack of proper door sealing made it worse. Dead ants blew in under the door daily, and the bathroom was infested with large spiders. The resort offered only two free water bottles on the first night of the stay—after that, guests must purchase their drinks. The food was overpriced and inedible, with fish falsely advertised as mahi-mahi that turned out to be overcooked and unrecognizable. Drinks were watered down; I watched a bartender pour six ounces of alcohol into my drink, yet it had no effect, and I’m not even a regular drinker. The location was equally inconvenient. Without a rental car, there were no nearby restaurants within walking distance, and the nearest decent hotel was $500 a night. I was stuck for two extra days over Christmas while arranging transportation to leave. Though the staff offered a room upgrade for the inconvenience, I couldn’t trust that any room would be cleaner than the one I already had. To top it off, they refused to refund me for the days I left early. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve EVER had

Really worth the price

We really liked our night at the hotel. We were staying during rain season and the roof of our room started to leak. I contacted the front desk via WhatsApp and they immediately moved us to another room with no issue. It is worth the price, and it was really clean. The restaurant was really good, much more than what we were expecting. Local traditional food, not extraordinary but very tasty and pleasant. It was perfect for a short stay!

We enjoyed a night here before shifting to Dreams Las Mareyas, the site of the wedding event we attended. We hoped to have a nice comfortable night for significantly less cost and we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was neat and clean, the bed was comfortable with decent pillows and the air condition blew nice and cold. Dinner at the restaurant was good. I had an excellent steak. Beach was quiet and pleasant. We also enjoyed seeing the wild cows that roamed on the premises.

Food was incredible! Amazing! So delicious and fresh!! Staff was beyond incredible with great service. Only downfall was we didn’t have hot water — they tried to fix it, we thought it was working but when we took a shower it was cold. We were only there for 2 nights and didn’t realize the fix they did still didn’t work until almost bedtime the night before we left, no big deal. We would totally go back!!

Bon hôtel pour les plages proche de La Cruz .

Complexe hôtelier bien situé, on est à 10 minutes en voiture de plages magnifiques pour se baigner . La plage devant l'hôtel est très venteuse mais la vue est belle. Nous avions une chambre superieure ; très grande , propre , climatisée et des lits super confortables. On y dort bien : pas de chants de coq , de chiens ou de singes ;-) seul point negatif , le resto le soir n'est pas très bon et assez onéreux.

No hot water. Needs upgrades

Great service and food was good although priced high. There was NO hot water and water shortages were upsetting considering we paid $170/night incl taxes. We both woke with allergies from the room. The whole place needs renovations but nice location right on the beach although SUPER windy. It was worth $80/night or less but no more and is definitely only a 2 or 3 star hotel which we were mislead to believe was a 4 star.
