Staff were very helpful to me when I broke out in hives. Rewashed bedding in hypoallergenic soap and even took me to pharmacy to get antihistamines. Pedro Lee is a gem! Booked great excursions for me, at times with a discount. Clean, basic, comfortable with lovely staff.
Had a really great time in Arenal Rossi for 3 days. Being located in the most strategic location, with a great view of the volcano, the hotel is easily commutable to the downtown, and other adventure activities. Being a budget hotel for both backpackers and family is certainly an added advantage. My special mention goes to the 2 great care takers, Pedro and Joseua, who did a splendid job while I was staying. They charted the plan for me and helped me in every possible way to ensure that I had a great time. The icing on the cake being, they also gave me a free upgrade to a bigger room with A/C. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
In general, Good hotel and great owner! He helped us a lot :) we only stayed one day but it was very near to the Baldi hot springs and also near to the main bus station. At night it was a bit noisy as our bedroom was very near to the street. Also we heard people next door but we were so tired that we slep well.
The room was small without any shelfs to put your things.
Beds were uncomfortable.
Thin walls you hear through
The staff were very nice and the breakfast was basic and good.
The staff Staff at hotel Rossi, are Excellent! Pamela was so helpful and informative. We came in a day later than planned, she was able to rearrange our days and reimburse us for the in used day. It a basic hotel, but it is clean and really convenient to activities in the arenal area.
Staff were really friendly and very helpful. Otherwise the hotel is quite run down and not in great condition although clean. It is a budget place and you get what you pay for.
Clean, spacious rooms. Comfortable, A/C, small fridge. Damp however it's to be expected in CR. Cranking the A/C helps! Lovely staff, very helpful. Offer discounted tickets to two big hot springs in the area. Expedia doesn't include breakfast however it's offered for an additional $6 which is a good price for a delicious meal. Their restaurant has great food food for great prices! A little slow but worth the wait. We would definitely go back!

Awsome stay
Awsome stay, nice room, close to resturants and grocery store
The hotel was in a good area-in the middle of a town with several other hotels and a few restaurants and souvenir stores. The main "downtown" area was just a short 5 minute drive ($6 cab ride) down the road, and so was Baldi Hot Springs (you can buy a discounted ticket from the front desk for dinner and the hot springs). The beds were not super comfortable, but they haven't been in any of the hotels I've stayed at in Costa Rica (regardless of price). All in all, this place was a great value and excellent location.
Location is outskirts of a friendly tourist trap of a town. Good place to stay and use as a base if you are traveling by car.

Close to the town but quiet
You get what you pay for with breakfast included this is a good deal, not a 5 star, but you go to the area to explore, not spend it in your room. The rooms was clean and food was decent. Nice flowers around the hotel and it is in a good location not right down town so a little quieter but only a 10 minute walk. Friendly staff. Stayed there with my infant son and everyone was helpful.
Better hotels in area for same price or 4 and 5 star hotels for a little more. This motel is old and run down . It was also right off the highway (50ft) and very noisy.
We checked in the hotel very late for CR standards (11pm) which by itself impressed us (email the hotel prior if you choose to do this). The rooms were airconditioned which my partner greatly appreciated. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. The only complaint I had was the shower. It was clean and large, however, the water spout was similar to a hose and made showering a bit difficult and uncomfortable. The morning breakfast was wonderful and was a great prelude to our Costa Rican adventure. The open-air restaurant was clean and very cosy. There are several different types of breakfast you can enjoy including a typical Western continental or Costa Rican breakfast. We opted for the Costa Rican breakfast and enjoyed our eggs, rice and beans, and plantains all while bird watching. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
The staff was nice, but really surprised that we were going to stay there for 3 days. This is probably because none of the guest stay more than a night. Overall, It was okay. I would say its a Motel not a Hotel.

Great staff and location
I am a budget traveler so my expectations on comfort and ameneties are pretty low. The location was great, you can see the volcano from your table at the restaurant while you get your free breakfast. The staff was really nice. They hooked us up with great horseback riding tour. It seemed like many of the hotel guests were from Costa Rica.
Negatives: I get the impression thin wall construction is the norm in tropical countries. Any noise outside or in the next room was loud and clear. Some jerk revved his dirt bike outside at midnight or about half an hour one night. That's not really the hotel's fault, though. Aside from that, the hotel, though right on the man road, is in a relatively quiet area.
