For the price, this hotel was fine. Most of the hotel staff were very sweet and helpful. Several barely spoke english, so you'll do better if you can speak some French. Wifi was a joke -- there is no wifi in the rooms at all. It works okay in one part of the lobby, but took about 20 minutes to email a photo; definitely not high-speed. The rooms are only cleaned once a week, if you want your room cleaned more often, you have to pay extra. The only soap in the room was a bottle of body wash attached to the shower wall. Plan to bring or buy everything else, even for the kitchenette, as they do not include dish soap (or a sponge) either. There is a small store in the lobby where you can pay for these things, or a there's a Superette about a 25 minute walk away where you can buy soap and some foods, beer and wine as well. Rent a car at the airport! I didn't, and was subsequently limited to the bus (which come sometimes, about once an hour, but not reliably), and it's about 75 Euros to get to this place from the airport. It's an easy, short walk from the hotel to the closest beach, which is nice for swimming and readying, and easy to walk (5-10 mins) to lots of great spots for a fresh espresso, a great bakery, or tasty places to eat along the main road, but most everybody in Tartane drives all the time. If you want to surf, you need a car too, even though the break is a 25 minute walk, because the road to that part of Tartane is a dangerous, curvy and people drive really fast.
