Pleasant stay, room was comfortable with views over the Loch and had a small balcony. Was separate from the main hotel but the walk not very far and umbrellas provided in case of rain. Dinner was lovely, Michelen Star quality. We saw seals catching fish in the Loch from the view from the dinner table.
We had a lovely stay at Kylesku. Our room was compact, but had everything we needed. The view of the loch was amazing!
The staff were super friendly and very helpful. They gave us a number of recommendations for the local area which were all great.
Had dinner in the restaurant twice and the food was excellent. Very fresh, well prepared seafood, with an absolutely incredible view!
The excellent food made up for the disappointing accommodation. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed at and had a small room in the loft with a bathroom down the stairs and along a corridor.

Recent stay
After visiting this area & establishment many times it is ready for a bit of TLC. The staff were lovely, food very good but £300+ room per night was very tired, place starting to look shabby both in. & out
Wasn’t like that when Sonia & Tanya had it
This hotel was right on the water just past the iconic Kyesku bridge and was amazing!!! Historic but newly redone. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was all fresh locally caught seafood—from the lake outside the restaurant! Breakfast was equally impressive. We got to order from a menu and the food was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend anyone traveling through here to stay and eat here.
Very nice hotel in amazing location.
Staff were excellent - very friendly and attentive.
Room was very comfortable. Restaurant/food was fantastic.
The only downside was that our attic room did not have an en-suite - instead it did have a private bathroom at the bottom of the stairs.
A haven of peace and quiet in an amazing setting. Breathtaking scenery on the side of pristine loch. Room comfortable, in house dining delicious. Don't miss breakfast - it's really good. Staff professional and friendly.
Only thing - there are two rooms in the main house upstairs that do not have ensuite. I was unaware of this when booking via Expedia, and it was the only thing not perfect about our visit as three of our group had to use the private bathrooms assigned on the downstairs area.
Fabulous location with atmospheric North West Highland loch and mountain views .
Relaxed dining room with very pleasant and efficient staff.it was a fairly quiet night for them as we were off season.Food was delicious and well presented and fairly priced.
Our room was in Willy’s House and was private ,modern and spacious, with a lovely en-suite with heated floor!
We intend to return
We came upon this hotel in a very happen stance circumstance and are SO glad we did. It became our favorite part of our vacation. The staff was awesome, the food amazing and the views were STUNNING. Will return without a doubt. I wish we had more time to spend there. I cannot recommend enough.
Unfortunately I have more dislikes for this hugely expensive hotel than I do likes. To begin with on Expedia check in is from 2pm. Reality 4pm. Delux room costing $437 lacked… a heated towel rail that didn’t work, underfloor heating was only focused in one spot by bathroom. Wardrobe was missing the knobs and had bare screws just waiting to rip into your arm and shin. For such “delux” I would also like to have real hangers for my clothes instead of a mishmash from Primark and every other high street store. Tissues and body cream would be nice in the bathroom along with a shower mat for the bath and also a safety hand rail to make having a shower not feel like I’m about to slip and crack open my head. And don’t even bother trying to lock your door. It takes a 1 in 9 chance of working it out. If I could post a photo of our view from the room I would. The white block of the public loos right across the road is something to behold. Restaurant food is awesome and location beautiful if you’re lucky not to be in room 9 but do not waste your money and move further down the coast.
The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is just off the NC500 and has amazing views. We even saw seals which was a joy. They have a lovely terrace area adjourned to the bar/restaurant, which is lovely to have a drink at.
The food is slightly pricey but nice all the same and staff are all friendly and welcoming. There’s a lounge area with an honesty bar which we thought was a nice touch.
We stayed in room 6 which we were aware didn’t have a bathroom, but did feel a tad strange as it’s right next to 5 other bedrooms, not in the actual area where the bedroom is! The view from the bedroom was lovely (if looking at the loch) and the amenities were great. Only issues were the ceiling height (tough for tall people), and any doors that shut/slam or people talking can be heard in this room.
The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The guy at reception when I checked in (I think Martin was his name) was very friendly, helpful, and informative. The room was warm and cozy and I was happy they upgraded me to a room with a better view. The restaurant has some delicious seafood dishes for dinner! The only criticisms I have are that the internet was extremely slow (but perhaps that's because of the remote location). And the room (and I assume the building) was slightly sloped downhill. It's still a 5 star stay though!
