it is old and smell like cigarettes and pot everywhere the pool is ridiculous…. it’s an oven with NOT one umbrella for guest and on the one day it’s nice and windy the close it because it’s windy …. this is not a resort it’s a casino and event ( horses ) arena ….. NOT relaxing

Good customer service

I booked on Hotels, but immediately saw it was booked for a smoking room. I contacted Hotels right away and asked for it to be changed to non-smoking. They emailed back that afternoon and said they could make no change and couldn't cancel. Since the booking was for the next day, we did not know if we'd be stuck in a smoking room since we didn't book directly with the hotel. However, when we got to the hotel, the lady was happy to give us a non-smoking room. The hotel texts to welcome you when you get to your room, It texts you around 10:30 the morning of check out reminding you that check out is at noon and that you can just text back 'out' when you exit the room. This helped us avoid crossing the casino with our luggage to check out. We have stayed at the Southpoint many times. The beds are pretty good for Vegas hotels. The only thing about the room negative is that the air conditioning cycles off and on at night leaving you too hot in the summer months, then comes back full force in the morning making it cold on the same setting. That makes sleep hard for me. Also, the casino is starting to smell like heavy cigarette smoke like older casinos in Vegas. I have allergies and can't stay long in a place that smells of heavy cigarette smoke.
