I booked with The Jangle Hotel based upon high reviews. Prior to arriving, the hotel sent a welcoming message with a reminder of their shuttle service. I was greatly impressed.
I am giving a mediocre rating for the following reasons: the shuttle service was not booked for the time I requested. My intuition told me to consult reception in the morning and thankfully the new team at the reception desk got us on at a suitable time. An older gentleman was our initial waiter. I ordered soup and salad. He suggested repeatedly to start with salad and end with soup. The soup never came. Though I noted several others arriving after us were served and on their way before we were ever approached again. In fact, a man two tables over ordered the same meal as me, albeit the large salad, served by the same waiter and he was served promptly. A waitress came, I explained the situation. She clearly did not understand. I requested the soup originally ordered and suggested my son order a dessert. Again, the order took an extremely long time to the point I cancelled the request and paid for what we consumed. Finally, upon settling down for the night, discovered the toilet was leaking as we could hear it dripping. I contacted the front desk who moved us to the first floor behind reception where it was very loud time.
Overall, I would consider your reason for staying. If it is to be close to the airport, you can do better as I have stayed at CDG airport hotel before with greater success.
