Weird place
Very strange hotel. Felt depressing and functional the moment we walked into the reception area. Room was very basic (but clean to be fair). Bathroom was very old and felt like a hospital bathroom. Breakfast was pretty awful - rubbery cheap sausages and slimy scrambled eggs. It was all pretty tepid also. Very limited selection of bread foods. Coffee from machine was awful also! We couldn’t wait to get out of this place in the morning.

Second time here and this stay just as good as the first. Sure, the rooms aren’t 5-star rooms, but they are spacious and the beds are comfy, and the included breakfast is as good as any. Staff are friendly and free parking is easy, as is a short walk to the city centre. Highly recommended, will use again.

Concert trip.
Went to Leeds for a concert. The hotel was in it's own grounds away from the road which was a main road into Leeds, so nice and quiet. Plenty of public transport to get into the centre of Leeds. A good self service breakfast and a rest room with free coffee and tea.

Interesting history of the building given in the welcome booklet in my room. Comfortable bed. Room was clean. Given the cold weather at the time of my stay, the room was nice and cosy and warm. No tea/coffee facilties in the rooms...but a nice 24 hour lounge with two coffee machines and tea making facilities. Was a great opportunity to speak to the other guest, or just sit quietly by yourself and read. Good english breakfast and range of cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Nice looking grounds to walk around in, and plenty of parking. Good for staying in for one or two nights, at a reasonable rate.

We were attracted to this place because it is so historic, built in 1680. We knew it was a conference center and likely to be less plush than many hotels. The room was tiny and not that easy to reach because I have trouble walking and used a cane. However, we still really enjoyed staying there and felt it was exactly the unique experience we were seeking

Really calm place to stay.
I have stayed at Hinsley Hall twice recently and it's just an oasis of calm. I really like the setting and the reassurance it provides. It reminds me of conferences I visited with my parents as a child(!) and just removes any drama from business trips.

Beautiful grounds
Not my usual choice for a business trip however it suited location wise. This is a pastoral centre so doesn't have the usual trappings of an "Hotel". However the staff are lovely it is a quite, calming place in beautiful grounds with ample parking, they do have a bar and the Wi Fi was great. No evening meals offered but there is a well known chain just across the road
