Great, friendly staff, convenient location, very clean and comfortable rooms. I enjoyed my stay at this Candlewood. This property is located near University of Kentucky, and while it is very close to a lot of businesses and activity, the room was quiet and the location, peaceful. I will definitely plan to stay here again. The front desk staff person who checked me in was really friendly and eager to make sure I had a good stay. Too bad every hotel can't be this good. One minor complaint I do have is that there should be at least two or three parking spaces right near the front desk entrance for people checking in. I didn't see any spaces market for that, but there were a bunch of them for "Elite Members" or some other rewards members. So to check in, we had to park a good distance away. In bad weather, it would be a bit of a hassel to bring in luggage or packages, etc. Normally, you can bring things in from a very close distance to check-in, then move the car to a regular parking space after check-in.

Loud but otherwise nice
Loud. Everything was wonderful except we could hear other people’s conversations clearly through the wallls. Above us and outside were the loudest. This hotel is across the street from the hospital, but it had good reviews so we thought it would be better noise controlled but the walls and windows were definitely subpar. We could clearly hear traffic and it was heavy heavy traffic area! We thought it was ok with cleanliness and staff was friendly, we just wish we could have slept for more than an hour at a time

We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness and the staff response to anything that we needed. We were pleased with the larger size of the bathroom. The security of the building was very good. We did have some tenants upstairs that walked heavily on the floors and making noise at times, but that was not the fault of the facility. We would stay there again!

It was a very pleasant place to stay. I didn't realize it's extended stay and was pleasantly surprised with the small kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable My biggest let down was that, while I was told housekeeping didn't do every day, they never came to my room the 4 nights I was there.

My fault that I didn't notice the hotel didn't serve breakfast but they did have food for sale -- sugary, highly processed, unhealthy crap. When I checked in I was told I'd have to deposit $10 for "incidentals" but I couldn't get an explanation what those might be. I was also told I'd get the $10 refunded to my card if I didn't incur any expenses for incidentals. No other hotel has ever charged me this way and it all seemed very petty. The hotel was clean. There was hot water in the shower. Location was pretty good relative to downtown.
