So starting off I’ve never stayed at the Lex. It will be my first, and my last time. We started our experience by walking in and was rudely greeted by a woman stating no check in until 4pm which she rolled her eyes after telling us that. The best was no hello , or welcome to the Lex. So after that we checked in after our event and discovered kids running up and down the hallway , and knocking on doors, then running off. Complained twice and they said they were on it , which they weren’t. So than today I said something about my experience which I then asked the woman I was complaining to if she was a manager? Which she rudely responded yes one of them. So long story short I will make sure to tell my friends who come to Lexington for the horse races not use your hotel. One not because it’s not nice , but the poor management , and desk staff. On a good note about the only great service we received was from the bartender at the restaurant. Too bad you couldn’t make her a manager, or better yet have her teach the management staff how to treat a customer.

Front desk was phenomenal, welcoming kindness after a hard day's travel. Having a restaurant that served delicious food right on the property was super convenient, talented live entertainment added to the experience. Comfortable room, amenities to cleanse, staff showed a lot of pride caring for. Place to park a large rig, pickup trailer. Would def return!

We had challenges with working the TV (remote control may not have been working right or battery dying). Had to ask for clothes hangers (none in the room). Bathrooms were nicely renovated. The door to the bathroom was off its hinges - we had to fix it ourselves in order to get privacy in the bathroom. The room did not have adequate lighting. Difficult for elderly in our group to turn lights on/off.

Spring break

We went for spring break and were looking for a place where the kids could swim and play. The pool area was great, and the kids said the water was warm. There were plenty of seating options in the pool room, including rocking chairs and swings. However, the hotel staff was still cleaning and vacuuming rooms past 10:30 p.m., which made me feel bad—they must have been very short-staffed to be working that late. The room itself was okay but showed its age as soon as we walked in. The bathroom had been nicely renovated, but our sliding barn door came off the hinge, they promptly it. The lighting in the room was poor, making it feel dark, and our microwave didn’t work. The hotel’s amenities were nice. The restaurant and bar were surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night, and the live music was awesome—I was really impressed. The food, however, was just okay. The front desk staff was polite but somewhat standoffish. Overall it was a nice little stay.

Nice place, great service

We were traveling with our dog and had a room by the pool and a banging door. Place was very crowded due to Kentucky basketball game. The guy at the desk was VERY helpful in solving all our minor issues. Nice bar and restaurant in the hotel but a little too crowded to get food. We would stay again especially since they let our dog in.

Great place for just the pool

We chose this property because of proximity to the highway and the advertisement of the pool/arcade. We were visiting family in the area. After a 10 hour drive with our 2 kids there was not any adjoining rooms available but we were accommodated to the best of the hotel’s availability with rooms near each other. The 2nd night we were there, storms came through and water started pouring into the window of one of our rooms, down the wall, etc. We were able to move rooms and were very thankful after such short notice. The 3rd night, the touch lamps next to the bed kept turning on by themselves all night long. The 4th night we woke up to someone knocking on our door at 4:30am. No one we knew. All night long we had squirrels inside the a/c unit fighting and running around. The pool was the highlight each night and a great way to wind down. The staff was very friendly. I’m not sure that when we continue to visit the area, that this will be our first choice to stay at again.

The hotel interior was amazing. The room was great. Our only downfall was we tried the restaurant out and it was definitely a 1. Our server got our drinks and order and never came back. We finally got our one drink each from someone. But then the food was just completely forgotten. Walked around to find our server and he said he was told someone brought it out but never checked up on us. Our glasses were empty and no food. Very dissapointed in the restaurant

This place looks a lot better in photos than in real life. My room smelled absolutely disgusting, the hotel smelt terrible, the food was awful, the only thing I can say something positive about is their gym. I will be seeking a full refund.
