The living area and the bathroom were large; The bed and sheets were very attractive. The breakfast was good and nicely presented. It was close to a great beach and the town of Taft. Everything I needed was easy to walk to.

The beds were so uncomfortable. The rooms are outdated. No water pressure in one sink, second sink soaked me because it sprays with excessive pressure. Poor shower pressure and inconsistent temperature. The carpet was damp, like in the entire room, so odd. Check-in was easy and employee was nice. Location is convenient for our trip. Overall, wouldn’t ever stay here again.

Room was spacious. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was OK - waffles, cereal, yogurt, and bagels. Toilet was very low and very small. Good shower.

What an absolute disaster of a stay. They were clearly short-staffed as it took over 45 minutes to check in all who were waiting. The lady for that process was kind but needed help. The hotel is old, desperately in need of updates. The furniture was broken. The windows were dirty. There were apparently smoking rooms, and the smoke filled the halls. They claimed to be a pet friendly hotel, and we brought our retired therapy dog. Paid the pet deposit. Their rules state your dog is not allowed to stay in the room unattended, so I brought him with me to the front desk the following morning to get coffee. When I walked in, I was immediately berates for bringing my dog in their lobby, which is apparently not allowed. Confused with how I was to get coffee or breakfast, they stated it was okay to leave the dog in the room, but only during breakfast hours. Bizarre rule. Their breakfast consisted of weak coffee, bagels, waffles & mandarin oranges. The checkout process should have been easy, but they charge you a deposit, and if you're not careful, they will keep it. I have spoken with them 15 times, front desk & corporate. They say they will escalate and issue me a refund. Nothing yet, and it's been 17 days. The young man frequently at the front desk was curt, rude, & not helpful. He was irritated at my multiple requests for my deposit back. The only plus was the view of the bay, but even that was not worth it after this nightmare.

Brandon the manager was super friendly and helpful. It was an over night for my dog willows birthday!! He was funny and attentive. Its nice to see a friendly face and someone that thought my smiling terrier was cute and funny. Thank you Brandon for making this one of the better trips. The second story stay was bliss and willow had a great time!
