Before I booked the room, I had read several reviews. And for the most part, they were spot on. The rooms do need to be updated, and were not the cleanest. I am talking about cleanliness and not just the cosmetic parts, where the toilets and showers were not cleaned properly before our stay (luckily, we travel with Clorox wipes). Floors were not vacuumed completely. Now for the cosmetic piece. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, and the blankets were thin. The pillows were probably the worst I have ever used, and the stairs could use an update or some paint. The pool and the gym area were nice. The workers were amazing, very nice, and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best that I have had at a hotel, and the restaurant was great as well. If anything, the friendliness of their employees and the breakfast overshadows the inadequacies of the room. But it is worth the price.

The room felt like 1975. The wallpaper above the bed was peeling away, with mold behind it. Lamp shades had oil stains. The carpet was old and dirty. My Hotels profile makes clear that I need feather free bedding. There were 6 down pillows on the bed and it took an hour before I was provided with a pillow that would allow me to sleep there. I won’t return or recommend this place.

The room had a problem with the blinds, the remote, the safe and the toilet. The hotel had a problem with the elevators so we had to wait longer than 5 minutes each time we left the hotel. The hotel had a party in the ballroom but some of the trash seemed to be there the next morning. However, the staff was pleasant and helpful.

The elevators didn’t work…. 1st day all 3 elevators worked, by the evening 2 elevators broke down. 2nd day only 1 elevator worked until about 8pm. After that last elevator broke down and everyone had walk up and down (we stayed on 7th floor, so it was ridiculous). 3rd day started with only 1 elevator again - huge lines to use it. Breakfast is just as basic as I have ever seen and floor was sticky…. We decided to go get breakfast somewhere else—after 2 days of the same basic stuff, we were fed up.
