The PortoBay Marques Hotel is a very nice hotel in Lisbon. I highly recommend staying here. The staff is excellent, even providing avvery early check-in as one of our rooms was not being occupied the previous evening. The rooms are large - both the room with the Queen bed as well as the Junior Suite. The room was impeccable - very clean as well the bathroom. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening when we were exhausted after sightseeing all day long and the food was very good. The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet area of Lisbon, near very high end stores. There are two markets about 4 blocks or so from the hotel, which one can purchase water and other items as needed. (By the way, the hotel provides a large bottle of purified/spring water daily to each room.) From the hotel, it is approximately a 20 minute walk to downtown Lisbon, but if you prefer not to walk, taxis and Ubers are readily available and they are very inexpensive (compared to US and UK prices). Walking to Avenida de Libertad is very safe - as one is actually walking through a park-like area. The Rossio Train station is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel or a 5 minute taxi/uber ride. One can use this train station to go to Sintra, much better than driving and parking there. Overall, I rate this hotel a 10/10 - and I am a very experience world traveler for over 40 years on non-stop traveling.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent location in Lisbon. Staff friendly and griots. Clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Great place to stay while in Lisbon!

Lovely staff, great location, with lots of the city walkable in 25-30 mins at most. Amazing views from the rooftop bar and pool. Good value, with breakfast included. Rooms are pretty small, ours was at least but more than enough space for up to a week.

The staff were friendly and very helpful with our group. The hotel is on a quiet street but near many restaurants and shops. Beautiful area to go for a walk and take in the sights with the many squares to enjoy.

Located near the Marques de Pombal square it is located near many shops and restaurants. The hotel is clean and modern. The only drawback was locating it. It has two small signs one each side of the main entrance that were behind plants. Rooms are quiet and we could not hear any street noise. The breakfast was very good with something for everyone. The pool was small but served the purpose of cooling one off on a hot August afternoon. It was reasonably priced and served us well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They helped us locate a self-service laundry nearby. That was a lifesaver. I would stay again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

For that price, i was expecting a little bit more- free coffee maybe? Just to make us feel welcome. Rooftop terrasse and pool closed early and without staff service (neede d to prepare our own drink and write our own tab, including 2euros for a coffee..?) overall nice enough

This is a hotel boutique. The staff is friendly and very professional. We are staying in a suite on the 5th floor. The room is big, very clean and the bed is confortable. The room has a big terrace. We loved our stay.
