Lack of bathroom!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped however there was only one bathroom. We were with another couple and the bedroom where we slept was in the attic. The stairs were far too steep for code and there was no bathroom on that floor. It was very treacherous in the middle of the night coming down to the second level where the bathroom was located.

Great Space Lovely Setting
The space was large and accommodated our adult family of four. If we had one wish it would have been for a broom and dustpan.

Very cool old house
As luck would have it, we spent two days here during a power outage because of Hurricane Lee. Despite the less than ideal circumstances, we were very impressed with the house and would definitely stay here again if we return to Shelburne.

Great launching-off point for south shore explorations!
Communication with property owner was clear and responsive from my first email and throughout our stay. This bright, clean, safe unit provided a wonderful taste of small-town Nova Scotia! We took sight-seeing drives every day to visit a variety of towns/cities (Yarmouth, Cape Forchu, Barrington Passage, Liverpool, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove and Halifax - all places we'd highly recommend!). At the end of each day we'd come "home" and enjoy strolling an evening loop around nearby Dock Street. A friendly little town; we'd happily rent this unit again. :)

Very Nice Place in a Great Location
We enjoyed our stay at the property. The apartment is tastefully decorated with a beautifully updated kitchen and bath, and the location is great. A few updates are needed: securing the handrail going up to the third floor (it is very loose), adding an AC unit in the second floor bedroom, and replacing the very soft mattress in the second floor bedroom. Those updates would turn this very nice property into a first class rental.

Beautiful & spacious home, the kitchen is fully stocked, we enjoyed the deck with our morning coffee. The location is ideal to the beautiful waterfront & some restaurants. Shawn greeted us on arrival & was available if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay & we’ll certainly recommending his property to others.

Shawn was amazing to work with!! He was so accommodating to our situation. Any issues or questions, Shawn was quick to answer and assist right away. The rental was in the perfect location, walking distance to the beautiful harbour and waterfront of Shelburne. Beds were comfortable and there were lots of kitchen supplies to make full meals. We will definitely be back!!

Charming stay in Shelburne
Friends and I stayed for 3 nights at this lovely property in Shelburne. Perfect location to explore the waterfront museums and local restaurants. Also an easy drive to the gorgeous beaches along the South Shore. Communication with our host was excellent - he quickly addressed any questions we had. Definitely recommend.

safety issues
We enjoyed the property and its conveniences. But: throw rugs should have a rubberized pad under them to avoid danger of slipping. Also: there should be a railing for the steep staircase and a step outside the entrance to decrease the height of entering into the premises.

Superb!
Shelburne is a magical spot & this historic home is the cherry on top! Our trio felt very much at home in this spacious and unique abode. We thoroughly enjoyed the intermixing of historic architecture & modern touches within Shawn's home. The location is fantastic; one can easily walk to the waterfront as soon as you see a hint of the sunrise/sunset coming in through the large kitchen windows. Shawn's communication made coordinating all the details surrounding our stay a breeze and the space was as tidy as can be. We felt we could touch a part of history; staying here definitely added to our South Shore experience! Thanks again Shawn for having us; we look forward to returning on our next cycling adventure!

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful town
The apartment looks as the pictures. It is walking distance to everything you need at the house. Check in/out easy as it is a lock box. We only had time for one night but it would be a great escape for a quiet getaway. Limited options for food, but the Charlotte cafe & the bean dock were great!
