The room and building needed repairs. We couldn’t get the room warm enough. Not enough lighting or electrical outlets (needed to plug in four things). Had to unplug one of the lamps so we can charge the cell phone. The front desk closed 10 minutes after we checked in.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
It was clean and quiet. It was nice seeing the lights from our room
There was some debris on the carpet when I first walked in the door which didn’t give the best first impression, so I think they could do a better job of keeping the entrance way clean, but aside from that I enjoyed the place. Much more of a B&B feel and a great alternative to the no character Best Western. Bed was very comfy, room was huge. TV should be across from the bed rather than at the side as it starts to hurt your neck having to turn to the side. Staff were friendly. Would recommend if you want something with a bit more character and easy going vibe.
We checked into one room that was not cleaned and we moved to another room.
Both rooms had issues including, mold, dust, cobwebs, paint peeling off walls, filthy microwave, dirty fridge, crumbs in the drawers, door had cracks and a hole which you could see the outside, pipes knocking and water running throughout the night made it difficult sleeping, dark and dreary room and the curtains had so many picks that they were no longer blackout curtains. request.
Website said breakfast was available but once checked in we were told it was only available on the weekends.
Convenient location and scenic views.
Overall a very poor experience. This establishment has gone downhill over the years and requires updates and proper cleaning.
We were in Liverpool to attend a concert at the Astor Theater. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the dining room at Lanes. The service was excellent despite the staffing level being inadequate. Our room was spacious. The room showed its age, but it was very clean.
Small older hotel. Area was on the inlet with the fishing ships nearby. Easy walking area to restaurants. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. For an older hotel it was good. Could use a bit of an update. Stairs outside to the upper level. Restaurant on site but we chose to go to a local restaurant. Quiet area.
The house is HUGE and old, built in the late 1700's! The rooms are beautiful amd huge, well ours was, we had the King Suite. The house is right on a lake so it is beautiful. There is definitely not much to do in the immediate area but we didn't mind. If you do stay, go down and have supper in their restaurant. 12 out of 10 recommend. The food was super delicious, and even though it seemed like they were short staffed the staff were phenomenal. Extremely kind, efficient and very friendly. This is about a 20 minute drive from Bridgewater so if you just want to relax and have a nice quiet weekend, Lane's is the place to stay!
The Inn is old and needs lots of upgrades. The staff is not available at many times. I had to go to the desk three times to get a staff member to check in. They seem very uninterested in giving service. Not sure if that is because I used your booking service . Would not recommend this Inn to anyone.
The room itself was fantastic for the price, the property had clear signage of where to go for what and the staff were wonderful.
We ate both dinner and breakfast at the property and that’s where there were issues. The food was really terrible. (The breakfast especially. The dinner options were fine, it was convenient but the actual food wasn’t anything to rave about.) The breakfast had so many issues with both dishes we unanimously decided to just never eat there again and move on with our day.
I would stay at the property again, for a work trip it offered spacious accommodation and was nearby to what we needed. But I would avoid the restaurant completely.
Property original areabuilt in 1750. A lot of history there .Many members of my family have spent time and enjoyed family meals and get togethers here over the years. It has new ownersand it is wonderful to see how they are growing and doing.so much more than when we were there a year ago. We will definitely be back . The reataurant was great
The only problem is no elevstor but they are so obliging and helpful and helped us. Thank you.
