Stayed here for a theatre trip. Centrally located and the added bonus of free parking. We had a pre-theatre dinner which was good. Only downside is being able to hear tannoy announcements at nearby railway station, but couldn't hear them with the window closed. A fan was provided in the room which was helpful as it was a warm night and didn't want to have the window open because of the tannoy announcements.
A very pleasant discovery. I chose this time to book a hotel right by the train station rather than down on the docks, and I’m sure The Liner will now be my preferred choi e in Liverpool.
It is excellent value, with very good service from its team, they even made me a takeaway breakfast bag as I had an early train. The rooms are very comfortable, with attentive house keeping.
One can quibble and note that the rooms do not have air conditioning, but that is bad for the environment anyway.
A pleasant stay, and I hope to stay there again in the future.
Enjoyed at our stay at the Liner. We were given advice about the car park and a complimentary upgrade of the room by the friendly receptionist.
We have stayed at the Liner many times over twenty years. I do think the variety at the buffet breakfast is not as good as it was.
Great overnight stay at The Liner, our room was lovely, food in the brasserie was delicious and we had a great brekfast the following day. The hotel is really covienient for attending the Empire theatre and using Lime Street station. All the staff were really friendly, great check in from Peter.
I love staying at the liner. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this time we could not remove the bath plug so when showering the water filled up instead of emptying.
I did report this but it wasn’t sorted during my stay. Just spoiled the experience there this time.
Ideal for train station lovely friendly staff especially the waiter room was too hot and found mattress uncomfortable bathroom was spotless and great shower food very good
The place was a good location with free parking. Check-in was good. The room was nice and had a bath, which is always a bonus, with a hairdryer, although you couldn't sit at the dressing table to do your hair as the mirror is to the side. The hotel could do with investing in air conditioning as the room was far too hot and the fan supplied was an industrial size and was so noisy you couldn't leave it on all night. You also couldn't leave the window open as the hotel is right next to the train station with announcements until late at night and then the seagulls started, but this isn't the hotels fault and we knew it was next to the station. But to avoid poor reviews some air conditioning investment could avoid these. The restaurant was fab and the bar had a singer which was great. I would definitely stay here again, just remember to bring my ear plugs next time.lol

Pleasant stay
Perfect central location with added bonus of free parking in city centre
Short walk to Empire theatre
Nice room very clean, good easy check in / out service
Only complaint was breakfast waited around 7 minutes for eggs only seemed to be 1
Person in kitchen cooking and by the time eggs were ready the rest of my food had gone cold
Only one person on check in which meant it was slower than it could have been particularly on a busy day but she did her best to keep the service going.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was very big and comfortable. The complimentary use of the robe and slippers was a nice addition and good selection of hot drinks. Our room overlooked the train station and disappointingly we heard every announcement made over the station tannoy.
We did plan to add breakfast on but the restaurant had no tables when we went down early Sunday so we went elsewhere.
The complimentary parking was an added bonus and the hotel is close to amenities.
Would stay again, would just ask for a room on the front not the back!
