Great stay at The Liner

We booked this at the last minute having won tickets to a Liverpool match. The location is great, close to everything without being troubled with noise. We were given a room on the top floor and were not disturbed on either of the two nights. The room was very clean and comfortable with good facilities. The only issue was it was very warm. I would suggest a top sheet is provided allowing you to set the quilt aside. Aircon would be great but I suspect to try and retrofit that now would be expensive. The attached bar has a great happy hour(s) meaning two G&T's only cost £6.30!! A shout out also for the breakfast buffet. Normally I don't like these as they tend to be bland but this was the tastiest breakfast buffet I've ever experienced. All of the ingredients were delicious. Overall a great stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

From the check in to check out the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, the restaurant staff were very friendly and very professional. We got to check in early which was great. The hotel’s location is great for a city centre break with buses out to Anfield stadium very regularly

Car park attendant very rude and abrupt which we reported to the hotel reception as I think it should be noted it doesn’t put the hotel in a good light having rude staff. Other than that Susan on reception was so warm, friendly and very helpful. Beautiful steak fir evening meal .. will return in the future.

The room could do with two bedside cupboards.

The hotel was ideal for the train station shopping and wondering a round Liverpool. Had an amazing time as always. So much to do it is my favourite city.

The hotel is ideally situated. It's a 20 minute walk to the Liver Building and ferry terminal. It is close to Lime street station but our room was on 6th floor so we couldn't hear announcements or trains as reported in a previous review. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The free parking is an added bonus! We would definitely stay here again.

Positives: location, ease of parking, breakfast, Senior management’s follow up response was good after the initial protocol for safeguarding of customers was not followed. Negatives: room safety, not following protocol to safeguard customers while sleeping in their bed, unprofessional behaviour by the security and reception team dealing with the situation immediately after it occurred.

Average but massively overpriced

The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had a comfy bed and decent shower but the decoration was tried. Kill had been opened already, there were no tissues left in the bathroom and the coffee wasn’t very nice. Breakfast was basic but ok. Massive queue to get in and floor was covered in bits from tables. Wouldn’t stay again
